2. Visit Science Center’s free poop-themed exhibit

Reserved as number two on our list is a poop-themed permanent exhibit at Science Centre Singapore. The relatively new “Know Your Poo” exhibition is flushed with all things to do with the doo-doo. This includes models of poo and replicas of the night soil trucks that the older gens may be familiar with.

3. Embark on an ATV trail adventure in Kranji

While the grown-ups have go-karting to enjoy, kids can live their best Tomb Raider lives at Singapore’s first ATV adventure park in Kranji. Mud Krank provides the off-road experience in a safe and controlled environment that kids of all ages can enjoy. Junior all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) are available for tots as young as four, while older kids can have a go at the larger advanced ATVs.

If your mini-mes adore Frozen and Frozen 2, you can bet they’ll have a ball of a time in Snow City’s Ice Hotel Gallery. Much like Elsa’s castle, almost everything is made of ice from the throne and bar, down to a frosty bed. This permanent exhibition is inspired by the ice hotels of the Nordic regions, which you can add to your family’s travel bucket list once VTL resumes.

5. Snap photos and make your own cup noodles at Slurping Good!

7. Side down a 4-storey-high tower for free at Coastal PlayGrove

9. Go on an adventurous Mongolian-themed staycation

10. Get a sugar rush at the Museum of Ice Cream

11. Explore a safari-themed playground near Punggol MRT

Indoor playground Kiztopia will be a familiar name to most. Just a 4-minute walking distance away from Punggol MRT, their newest safari-themed outlet has 12 zones with a sandpit, ball pit and arcade play area that children are sure to love.

12. Have a painting party at a splatter paint studio

Rock climbing may seem daunting but it ain’t only for adults. Youngsters up for the challenge can try rock climbing out for the first time at Upwall Climbing, with introductory 2-hour group climbing sessions held just for children (from $55).

14. Spend the day outdoors at Botanic Garden’s nature-themed playground

Young ones can take a break from technology at Singapore Botanic Garden’s newest outdoor playground, COMO Adventure Grove. Not your usual stairs + slides affair, this playground has an aesthetically pleasing nature-inspired facade and a giant fruit that kids can scale to feel like they’re in Roald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach fairytale.
