1. Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree
Direct access to 5 Mandai Nature Reserve parks
If spending just a day at Mandai Wildlife Reserve isn’t enough for you, you can stay overnight at Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree. The 4.6 ha nature resort consists of 338 rooms (from $393.27/night) and 24 luxury pod-shaped treehouses (from $1,025/night).
Each treehouse clocks in at a roomy 678 sqft, and is equipped with a king-sized bed, minibar, coffee-making station, and an atas bathroom. The beds directly face the Upper Seletar Reservoir, so you’ll start your day with million-dollar sunrise views. And just when you think it can’t get any better, each treehouse guest has access to a beautiful oval-shaped infinity sky pool.
As with any luxury resort, you can expect a range of facilities such as restaurants, a rooftop swimming pool, and a fully-equipped gym. Since the resort is all about blending in with nature, don’t be surprised if you spot the occasional monkey casually strolling by – a reminder of how the resort’s designed to fit into nature, not the other way around.
What not many luxury resorts can boast about, however, is being a stone’s throw away from 5 nature and wildlife parks, namely the Bird Paradise, Singapore Zoo, River Wonders, Night Safari, and Rainforest Wild ASIA.
2. Raffles Sentosa Singapore
Singapore’s first all-villa resort

Everybody knows that a retreat ain’t complete without some much-needed pampering, and you’ll be spoilt for choice here. The resort has 13 treatment rooms, a fully-equipped fitness centre, a 22m lap pool, an outdoor whirlpool, and a steam room, just to name a few. When you’re done recharging, pick from an array of fine dining concepts, from Italian to Cantonese cuisines.

Regardless of where you choose to eat, you will get to enjoy 20% off all food and drinks.

Singapore has always been known for making her mark on the world map, and she’s done it yet again with QT Singapore landing a spot as one of the greatest places to stay in Asia. It’s not too hard to see why – the hotel is just a 1-minute walk away from food havens like Lau Pa Sat.

After filling up your tummies there, unwind at the Cygnet Bar, located right next to the open-air lap pool with a wide view of the city. Sip on a range of Aeperol and Campari cocktails (from $12) or bite into their juicy signature Cygnet burger ($38). They’ve also got an ongoing promotion where they serve $1 oysters from Mondays to Saturdays, 5.30pm-7.30pm.
A stay here starts from $410/night – pretty reasonable when you consider it’s one of the greatest places to stay in the entire continent. Furthermore, it is the only QT hotel outside of New Zealand or Australia.
5. Amara Singapore
Boujee toiletries & revitalised modern interior

Amara Singapore has been standing along the bustling streets of Tanjong Pagar since May 1986. But glancing through their posh entryway today, the inside looks nothing short of sparkling new, with a cosy, modern look.

Like many of the more luxurious hotels out there, the spacious bedrooms come with a pillow menu and Club Room guests have access to evening tipples daily. Plus, if you are particular about hotel amenities like us, you may be pleased to hear that boujee Appelles Apothecary & Lab toiletries are provided in all rooms. And they smell like a literal dream.
P.S. There’s also the option to sign up for walking tours such as Triad Trails during your visit.
6. Marina Bay Sands
New suites with golf simulators & private bar
From Hollywood celebs and Formula 1 drivers to travel vloggers, anyone who’s anyone has stayed at the Marina Bay Sands. So it comes as no surprise that the hotel has introduced a new category of super luxurious suites – the Paiza Collection.

And did you even stay at MBS if you didn’t snap a photo at the world’s largest rooftop infinity pool? Guests of the Paiza Royal Experience Suites even get a professional photoshoot at the pool thrown in for free, as well as a complimentary chauffeur service from Changi Airport. Well, all you have to do is pay anywhere from $2,300/night.
7. Citadines Science Park
Studio lofts from $137.70/night
The Science Park would seem like the last place anyone would go to for a staycation. After all, it’s a tech hub nearer to MNC HQs like Grab and Razer than the best Singapore attractions. But that doesn’t mean you should be sleeping on Citadines Science Park.

If you were thinking of basic rooms with just a bed and bathroom, then you’re in for a sweet surprise. You can book a stay in one of their studio rooms (from $137.70/night) with floor-to-ceiling windows that look out to Kent Ridge Park.

The apartment sleeps a maximum of 2, but there’s plenty of room for the gang to stop by for a birthday celebration. As for the lofts, you get a cosy nook for sleeping in that’s separate from the living area. Both come with a fully-equipped kitchenette if you want to whip up a meal.

There’s no need to stay cooped up in your room while you’re here. Stay fit and active by working out at the gym and rooftop infinity pool.

The former Terrace Wing has been relaunched as the Wellness Wing since the hotel’s reopening in 2024, with new physical spaces that prioritise health and wellness. As you enter, you’ll be greeted with a 5-storey cascading garden and waterfall.
The final piece of the puzzle will be the Grand Wing, set to open its doors in the first half of 2025. It will unify 699 guestrooms and suites, several dining venues, and function spaces all under 1 roof.
9. The Laurus
First hotel by The Luxury Collection
The Laurus is set to be Singapore’s first-ever resort under The Luxury Collection, a brand by Marriott International that’s behind some of the best hotels in Singapore, like JW Marriott Hotel South Beach. The hotel will take over the place formerly occupied by the Hard Rock Hotel on Sentosa, and will open in Q3 2025.

Once it opens, the 5-storey hotel will have 183 boujee suites (from $1,200/night), designed with colonial era elements inspired by Singapore’s past. As for amenities, you’ll be well taken care of with courtyard spaces, function rooms, an outdoor swimming pool, a spa, and an all-day dining concept restaurant.

In the meantime, you can catch the opening of WEAVE, an atas 2-storey outdoor lifestyle centre with over 40 brands, including Asia-exclusive flagship stores.

Foodies can look forward to several brands making their debut, like Maison Pierre Hermé Paris, selling sinful pastries and cakes, including the renowned Ispahan cake. WeWa is another eatery to anticipate, offering pitas, falafel, and slow-cooked shawarma.
P.S. Plan a visit to the Singapore Oceanarium during your staycay, which is set to open in the first half of 2025. It will be 3 times larger than the current S.E.A. Aquarium, which sounds like 3 times more fun with the kiddos.
10. Mett Singapore
Iconic Fort Canning hotel rebranded
The current Fort Canning Hotel will be fully renovated and rebranded into the Mett Hotel Singapore, from 1st October 2025, with plans to introduce another hotel sometime in the future too. Spearheading this project is Mr Phillip Kneupfer, the former General Manager of Mandarin Oriental Singapore, who you might remember going viral a few years ago for sending letters to nearby hotels when Mandarin Oriental took a breather for renovations.

To call Mett Hotel Singapore “accessible” would be an understatement. It’s located a mere 5 minutes away from Orchard Road, 10 minutes from Marina Bay and a short stroll to Clarke Quay.
The existing swimming pool area will be transformed into a beach club that’s even open to the public. There are also plans to inject some nightlife elements into the place with a speakeasy bar.
11. Handwritten Singapore Waterloo
Located in the heart of heritage attractions

Handwritten Singapore Waterloo is nestled in Waterloo Street, surrounded by rich heritage sites like Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple.
The beautiful thing about Singapore is that you’ll find religious sites from different faiths coexisting side by side. Just a minute’s walk away is the Sri Krishnan Temple, one of the most beautiful Hindu temples in the city. When the hotel opens in Q4 2025, it’s the perfect time to live like a tourist for a day in your own country, surrounded by the sights and sounds of cultures that form Singapore.

While there’s no official information about its room rates yet, we can perform an educated guess based on another hotel under the same Handwritten Collection brand. Their hotel at Faber Park has rooms starting around $200/night, so it’s safe to assume that this new spot will be priced similarly, if not around the same ballpark.
Book one of these hotels for your next staycay
So if you need a break from work and feel like treating the fam to a staycay, snazzy new hotels are definitely not in short supply these days. While everyone might be setting their sights on overseas travel, sometimes the best spots to put your feet up and take a breather are right here with these new hotels in Singapore.
