4. i Light Singapore 2022 – Popular exhibition at Marina Bay

Come 3rd-26th June, your IG feed will probably be filled with aesthetic pictures from i Light Singapore 2022, a neon art exhibition that is set to make its return at Marina Bay. Themed “Spark of Light”, this year’s edition will feature works from artists in Singapore and abroad. 

Stand-outs include Isle of Light, where you’ll be treated to holographic projections and colourful light beams for just $8/pax. You can also check out Fallen, which ingeniously uses recycled materials to piece together a surrealist-like artwork that symbolises climate change.

This exhibition has over 70 different species of roses shipped from Italy itself, with sets that recreate the rustic and picturesque Tuscan countryside. There’s even a recreation of Juliet’s Balcony, where you and bae can channel Romeo and Juliet and reenact the famous balcony scene from the play.

7. Gallery Wellness Festival – Mindfulness workshops


If there’s one thing we’ve learnt growing up, it’s that taking care of our mental health is super important. Besides going for counselling sessions and mental health apps, sign yourself up for the Gallery Wellness Festival at National Gallery Singapore, which will go on from 3rd-12th June.

Tapping on its theme “Art Restores”, this festival will have a slew of activities that show how art can help with one’s mindfulness and mental health journey.

8. Wings of Time – Nighttime fireworks show at Sentosa

9. Air Force Museum – Newly reopened by RSAF

Time in the army calls for intriguing stories that can perk up our ears for hours on end. That said, it still doesn’t compare to visiting a museum where history itself comes alive. Museum buff or not, check out RSAF’s Air Force Museum, which has finally reopened its doors after a long hiatus.

Expect fighter jets, missiles and many other army artefacts when you make your visit. There’ll also be interactive stations where you can learn more about the history of RSAF since their early days.

Though Huggs-Epigram Coffee Bookshop has wound down its shutters, bookworms need not worry as there’s Epigram Coffee Bookshop, a new bookstore-cafe that’s making its way to SAM Tanjong Pagar Distripark this month.

A collab between Epigram Bookshop and Balestier Market Collective, this new bookstore is where you can sip on a cuppa joe made from locally roasted beans. While you’re there, remember to pop by the museum’s newest exhibits: Lonely Vectors and Superfluous Things: Paper.

11. GastroBeats – Live music, graffiti & street food at Bayfront

These were from the event’s 2018 edition, but you can expect a similar line-up this year.

To make up for missing out on late-night fun over the past 2 years, many of us have been frequenting karaoke studios and enjoying hitting up late-night bars. From 3rd-26th June, you can enjoy both of these activities under one roof at GastroBeats, a popular festival making its comeback at MBS.

Apart from jamming to live performances, you can also look forward to good food from Local Streets and Culinary Masters, which feature unique fusion and street food dishes.
