Itās the most wonderful time of the year. The weather is colder (re: rainy) and weāve got sales in every direction, but thatās not the best part of the season. If youāre anything like me, youāre a sucker for festive decorations, especially the iconic Christmas lights at Orchard Road.
Lucky for us, beautiful holiday installations can be found all over Singapore. Here are 11 places with some of the prettiest Christmas displays that you wonāt fir-get.Ā
1. VivoCity – Mini Christmas āvillageā with adorable characters

VivoCityās massive tree has returned and itās bigger than ever. Situated on the mallās rooftop, this giant tree is illuminated with snowflakes and surrounded by adorable reindeer, polar bears, penguins, and a snowman.Ā

To make the display even more whimsical, VivoCity also has a snow show every night, which makes for the perfect photo op. Head on down with the little ones or the snow-mies to have yourselves a white Christmas.Ā
VivoCity has also introduced Jumptopia, a collection of fun, inflatable activities for kids lined up for Christmas. Such activities include a desert-themed bouncy house and soft foam pit at the mallās entrance.Ā

2. Tanglin Mall – Artificial snowfall every evening
Living in the tropics, itās no secret that āwinterā in Singapore is really just monsoon season. Well, Tanglin Mall brings our winter wonderland dreams as close to reality as possible. Apart from their beautiful 15m-tall tree, theyāve also got a snow show for visitors to enjoy.

3.Orchard Road – Iconic stretch with live music & Xmas market
Of course, this article wouldnāt be complete without mentioning the one and only Orchard Road. This is probably the most anticipated display each year, with lights bright enough for Santa to see from the North Pole.
Besides admiring the 10/10 decor, youāll also be serenaded by local buskers when walking along the streets. And as part of this yearās Christmas On A Great Street campaign, several malls along the Orchard Road stretch have their own elaborate displays worth prepping your cameras for:
ION Orchard
ION Orchardās Dior-themed installation brings a touch of luxe to town this Xmas season, with an immersive display that features a chandelier made out of Dior perfume bottles and rooms akin to ArtScience Museumās Future World exhibit. Thereās even a pop-up booth where youāll receive complimentary cupcakes.Ā

Wisma Atria
If youāre aiming for an aesthetic thatās more cutesy, head on down to Wisma Atriaās holographic Christmas tree. Donāt miss a snap for the āGram at the installationās glowing archway too.

Wheelock Place already looks like a giant Christmas tree thanks to its conical roof, making this one of the more unique displays along Orchard. This Xmas season, there are figures of wrapped presents cleverly placed near the base of the ātreeā.Ā
When you enter, look up and bask in the whimsical starry display.

4. Jurassic Mile – Dreamy photo ops with dinos

You wonāt need a time machine to catch Dino Glow, the festive light-up along Jurassic Mile at the Changi Airport Park Connector. The shaded tunnels are completely lit up, making for a mesmerising stroll or cycle. And with realistic dino models along the stretch, we know the kiddos would love to pay a visit.Ā

5. Jewel Changi Airport – Enchanting 16m tree & projection show
Jewel Changi Airport is well-known for being photogenic on its own and is upping the ante this Christmas with a massive tree and snow show for both locals and tourists to marvel at.
Thereās also a light and sound show at the Rain Vortex every night so be sure to check it out when youāre there.Ā
Take a stroll through Canopy Park and immerse yourself in the interactive decor.Ā
Up at the Canopy Park is unique marine-themed decor – keep your eyes peeled for the interactive screens situated in the area with seals and dolphins you can āplayā with.

6.Singapore Botanic Gardens – Whimsical European-like decor

If Love Actually is one of your favourite Christmas movies, youād want to check out Singapore Botanic Gardens. The tall trees and clock tower just in front of the Orchid Garden have London vibes, with the clock tower standing in as our own mini Big Ben.Ā

7. Gardens by the Bay – Christmas Wonderland with carnival games
Returning for its 9th year is Christmas Wonderland at Gardens by the Bay. With a lineup of installations peppered around the gardens, visitors can expect to see favourites like the 21m Spalliera and illuminated windmill.
Apart from photo ops, rally the fam for the carnival games taking place here. Youāll also get an opportunity to get your picture taken with Santa, so fingers crossed you made it onto his nice list!Ā

8. Capitol Singapore & CHIMJES – Colonial architecture with modern decor

9. The Shoppes @ MBS – Floating Christmas trees

Marina Bay Sands takes Christmas to a new level, literally, with magical floating trees suspended from the ceiling. Tonnes of trees are also lined up along the shopfronts – itās giving festive forest vibes and weāre sure you arenāt going to run out of IG spots here.
Thereās also a giant snow globe surrounded by trees and presents.

10. Raffles City – Enter a bee-themed tree

Raffles Cityās decor may be simpler than the rest on the list, but that doesnāt mean it isnāt worth popping by. Itās just a stoneās throw away from Capitol Singapore and CHIJMES, so take a quick stroll to check out its bee-utiful Christmas tree.

11. The Star Vista – The tallest Christmas tree in SG

Yes, you read that right; the tallest Christmas tree in Singapore is right here at The Star Vista. Standing at 20m tall, this just may be worth the trek to the West. Around the tree are stained glass window features and angelic archways to take pics with, so dress your best for some cute OOTDs.
