The Waterfront at Sentosa
By now, you’ve probably realized that Sentosa is churning out new attractions faster than we can possibly visit them. Haven’t visited SkyHelix? It’s time to keep up if you don’t want to feel the FOMO. HyperDrive indoor go-karting and Splash Tribe beach club just opened this year, and more stuff are headed our way, including a fancy hotel, The Waterfront.

While there are already plenty of hotels in Sentosa, you won’t be the only one excited to see this new addition. Channeling whimsy, fantastical, and fairytale, The Waterfront is going to be a new premium resort located along the coast of the island.
Award-winning firm Benoy was the brains behind the biophilic, nature-infused architecture. Disney fans like us, you can’t possibly look at the artist’s impression and not think of Prince Eric’s Castle from The Little Mermaid.

Complete with 700 rooms, the hotel’s going to be a hot spot for staycations and weddings to say the least. Hold that thought though – construction only begins in 2024, with completion slated for 2031.
In the meantime, there are plenty of other openings happening within the coming years. A quick recap of some of Sentosa’s other upcoming attractions:

The Waterfront at Sentosa isn’t the only hotel in the works – Raffles Sentosa Resort & Spa is a dream come true for those who love Bali’s villas. It’s going to be Singapore’s first villa-only hotel and each unit here will have its very own pool.

S.E.A. Aquarium will be upgraded to Singapore Oceanarium (SGO) and is expected to be completed in early 2025. 3 times larger than the existing attraction, the SGO will feature new oceanic zones, prehistoric themes, and also new spaces like learning labs.

Sentosa Sensoryscape will be a 500m-long walk from Resorts World Sentosa to the Siloso Beach area, lined with arched lamps and sensory gardens. The final completion date is yet to be confirmed but if you pass by the area now, you can certainly see that the attraction is slowly but surely coming to life.

Beeboo beebo – let’s not forget Minion Land, with over a year left till its opening in 2025. In the land of Gru, you’ll find new rides including one that’s exclusive to Universal Studios Singapore.
New things to do at Sentosa
Change can be scary but not when it means exciting new staycation options and upgraded attractions within our shores. Apart from these new openings, Kidzania is reopening after an overhaul, and the temporarily closed Forum is going to be open in 2025 after upgrading.
