1. Red Bull Dark Knights
I’m no daredevil but I do get a thrill from watching people do crazy and dangerous stunts. Held at the Singapore Sports Hub, this adrenaline fuelled competition will feature bikers racing against time on a track that’s packed with obstacles.
Watch experienced mountain bikers from all over the world execute near-impossible stunts that’s guaranteed to keep the crowd at the edge of their seats. Admission to the event is completely free, so join in the hype and soak in the energy all night long!

2. Pink Dot 2016
An event that’s been steadily gaining popularity among Singaporeans, Pink Dot is the result of Singaporeans recognising the importance of everyone to love, especially the LGBTQ community. You don’t have to be gay to attend Pink Dot 2016; all are welcome to join in the festivities. In fact, Pink Dot’s organisers are expecting more people than ever this year!
Don your pinkest clothes, lay out your picnic mat, and soak in the good vibes of this feel-good event.. More than just a bunch of people gathering to form a pink dot, guests can look forward to an exciting lineup of live performances by local artistes such as ShiGGa Shay, Hirzi and also acapella group MICapella.

3. Aviva Superfundae
Take your kids out for a well deserved mid-year break at Aviva Superfundae! At a flat fee of $19.90, you’ll get to enjoy free games, free entry to all activities, a free beer or juice for the adults, a Superfundae pack for the kids and – here’s the best part – free ice cream all day long.

4. Music for a Cause @ Scape
Free concerts are few and hard to come by, much less a free concert for a good cause. But that is exactly what Music For A Cause is all about.
For two days, ten local bands will take the stage to raise funds for various community groups in Singapore, including Causes for Animals Singapore and the Migrant Workers Centre. Acts to keep an eye out for include Elle Magazine’s Musician’s of the Year Jack & Raj, as well as Juz-B, an alumni of Channel U’s Superband Competition. You can also pig out to local F&B brands such as ISEE ISEE with their adorable popsicles, Sushi Burrito, and Fairy Floss (Thai iced tea!!).

5. DBS Marina Regatta 2016
Unleash the daredevil in you by tackling the tallest inflatable slide in SEA this June at the DBS Marina Regatta! This event is hands down the highlight of my month, thanks to the many fun activities available on their pop-up beach – zorbing, stand-up yoga, sailing, cycling around the bay – all FREE, mind you!
If you’re a fan of all things hipster, missing this event is not an option. Back again with their local brands and products almost impossible to not fall in love with, The Local People will be holding their art market at the Regatta, this time in shipping containers. Social enterprises will also be selling products such as slippers and lotion, so it’s alright to unleash the shopaholic in you. It’s all for a good cause anyway!

6. Gentle Bones Live Concert
The only thing better than listening to Gentle Bones is hearing him live! For those who are crestfallen because tickets for his first show were all sold out within ten days, turn that frown upside down! Gentle Bones is coming back for a second performance on the 11th of June, so grab your tickets before they’re gone as well.
One of Singapore’s most talented artists, his mellow voice and soulful tunes have topped the iTune charts numerous times. And if the showcase of his dreamy voice isn’t enough, both Gentle Bones concerts will also feature incredible opening acts by electronic duo [.gif] on the 10th, and indie singer Linying on the 11th.

7. Singapore Coffee Festival 2016
Regardless of whether you’re a coffee connoisseur, coffee addict, or basic coffee-in-the-morning kinda guy, the SIngapore Coffee Festival is THE ultimate gathering for all caffeine lovers out there. Packed with activities, workshops and entertainment, this coffee festival has a little something for everyone
Step into the shoes of a barista by attending the Fundamental Barista Skills workshop.. Alternatively, level up your coffee making skills by learning the tricks of latte art from the 2015 World Latte Art Champion! When you’ve filled yourself up with caffeine, you can even catch a local film as they’ll be screening local flicks such as 881 and 7 Letters from 9pm, on 10 and 11 June!

8. Beerfest Asia 2016
Don’t feel left out if you’re not much of a caffeine fanatic – Beerfest Asia will also be held this month for all you beer enthusiasts to unleash the alcoholic in you! Feed your burgeoning beer belly with 500 varieties of cold brews. There’s even free flow beer if you purchase the VIP package!
It’s hard to go wrong when there’s alcohol in the picture – this year’s Beer Fest is no exception. With a slew of activities on offer such as a Beer Pong Tournament, dart throwing, stand-up comedy acts, and live music by international tribute bands, you’ll be spoilt for choice at this year’s Beer Fest.

9. Cafe by Joel Tan
Instead of being basic and watching blockbuster plays like Les Miserables, change things up a bit and catch Cafe, a play by talented local playwright Joel Tan (not to be confused with the other Joel Tan aka Gentle Bones).
The play is part of the inaugural Twenty-Something Theatre Festival, a platform that allows young artists full creative control over their art. Cafe will touch on subject matters that hit close to home, presenting our oh-so-Singaporean #firstworldproblems in an artistic manner. Apart from uncovering the talents of Singapore’s twenty-somethings, there’ll even be a Carousell flea market!

10. Family Time @ Enabling Village: Attend an unorthodox movie screening
Skip the freezing cold air-conditioned cinemas by catching an outdoor movie screening courtesy of MovieMob.
The next event is a screening of Minions that will be held on the 4th of June as part of a family event at Enabling Village. But if watching the adorable stars of Minions isn’t much of a draw for you, there are other activities on offer too such as food decorating and even a costume contest – come with your family dressed as minions, and you might even stand a chance to win NTUC vouchers!

11. Be a ninja warrior at Singapore’s largest indoor trampoline park in town
The next time you’re in Orchard, skip the shopping trip at ION – something more fun just popped up in town.
For those who have watched Ninja Warrior on Channel 5, here’s your chance to see if you have what it takes to be a ninja. Challenge yourself at the X-Park obstacle course in BOUNCE where your speed, strength and stamina will be put to the test.
This won’t be any ordinary trampoline park. Besides the adrenaline filled obstacle course, BOUNCE will also offer 45 minute high-intensity low-impact workout sessions. Exercise and fun were two words I’d never put together, but this might change my mind.

12. Stuff yourself with food that is less than $1!

17. Go longkang fishing in the East!
Forget about Journey to the West. Take a trip down to the East instead. The East has many fun activities to offer, and it’s a great destination to escape the crowd as not many are aware of their undiscovered gems (yet).
Revisit the days of your childhood when every carnival had the longkang fishing game. Throw on your tank tops and shorts, and get ready for some serious squatting as you try to net the sneaky guppies. The Mainland Tropical Fish Farm also offers prawning and fish therapy!
