What you need to know about free entry to ActiveSG gyms & pools
As part of ActiveSG’s 10 year anniversary, they are celebrating by offering free entry to their gyms and pools on the 10th of every month. So, until the end of 2024, you’re left with these 4 dates to enjoy the freebie:
- 10th September 2024
- 10th October 2024
- 10th November 2024
- 10th December 2024
This applies to all ActiveSG gyms and ActiveSG pools, and you can just walk into the facilities anytime as the gantries are always open. Just make sure you’re dressed in the proper gym or swim attire and have a towel with you.
Touch wood, in case of bad weather triggering a lightning alert, the outdoor pools will be closed. You can stay posted on the latest weather conditions on the NEA weather forecast webpage. Some facilities will also be closed on certain dates for maintenance works, which you can check beforehand on the ActiveSG website.

Hockey Village @ Boon Lay

Rock climbing enthusiasts can climb away at ActiveSG Hockey Village in Boon Lay, which has a cool mini rock wall as a fun way to test your upper body. It also has a nice vibe to it with green walls adorned with neon lights to inject a more outdoorsy vibe. Sticking true to its name, there are 2 hockey fields, and one of them can even be converted into a futsal court.
Bukit Canberra

You won’t find a gym where the phrase, “the bigger, the better” rings any truer than the one at ActiveSG Bukit Canberra. Spanning 1,500sqm, it’s the biggest ActiveSG gym in Singapore, and is stacked with plenty of free weights, cable machines, and cardio devices. It also has HUR machines, which use air pressure as resistance instead of normal weights, suitable for newbies and the elderly.

There are also 4 swimming pools at the nearby complex, with 2 indoor and outdoor pools each. After your workout, you can refuel nearby at the Bukit Canberra Hawker centre, which is just a minute’s walk away.
Jurong Lake Gardens

At ActiveSG Jurong Lake Gardens, you won’t even feel like you’re working out inside a gym, but rather outside, with the huge floor-to-ceiling windows offering lots of greenery. There’s a range of workout equipment, from cardio machines to even a tyre flipping area if you’re looking to switch things up.
Once done with your workout, you can cool off in the lap pools outside. There is also a mini wet playground area for the kiddos to have a splash.
Heartbeat @ Bedok

Heartbeat @ Bedok has an open-air sheltered pool where you can still get your laps in whether rain or shine. When it’s sunny, swimming buffs can use the 8-lane competition pool outside, while kids can muck about at the kids’ interactive swimming pool, with water sprayers and slides to boot.

There is also a gym upstairs with features like a TRX studio, as well as equipment like punching bags, battle ropes, and kettlebells to perform your own Rocky training montage.
Jurong West

Having a splashing good time in Wild Wild Wet is all fine and dandy until you’re a Westie. Now, you can save both time and money at Jurong West. It has 2 50m-long pools and a huge kids’ play pool. Slide down the 3-storey water slide, or run around the playground for a fun time. There is even a jacuzzi at the side for adults to dip in while watching over.
