Singapore Cable Car routes – Mount Faber & Sentosa Lines

For starters, a single cabin car carries up to 8 pax/ride along 2 routes, the first being the Mount Faber Line. A round trip here starts at Mount Faber, specifically Mount Faber Station, before travelling through Harbourfront Station and Sentosa Station in about 30 minutes. If you’re looking to explore other attractions in the individual areas, just keep your ticket in hand to hop on and off at any time across these 3 stations.

Meanwhile, the 20-minute-long Sentosa Line takes you to different areas in Sentosa. Your journey starts at Siloso Point Station and heads towards Imbiah Lookout Station. Stop here to enjoy the fun activities at Skyline Luge Sentosa or Adventure Cove. Hop back on the ride and you’ll end at Merlion Station, your stop for attractions like SEA Aquarium and Universal Studios Singapore

If you’re looking for the most value-for-money tickets, look no further than the Cable Car Sky Pass, priced at $35 for adults and $25 for children. This pass will grant you access to a round-trip for both the Mount Faber and Sentosa Line.

Booking online will also give you significant discounts on roundtrip tickets, like $4/adult (U.P. $17) and $3/child (U.P. $12) on the Sentosa Line.

In March 2024, Singapore Cable Car introduced a new type of cabin to the cable car lineup. Dubbed the SkyOrb, it is the fifth generation of cable car cabins since the attraction first opened in 1974.

The new cabin is spherical in shape and features futuristic, chrome finishes on the interior and exterior. What’s more, the bottom is now see-through as well, so you get to enjoy true 360-degree views of the surrounding landscape.

The SkyOrb cabins currently run on the Mount Faber line, with each one-way trip on this special cabin being a $15 and $20/pax top-up on weekdays and weekends respectively.

Cable car sky dining – Plan a romantic dinner in the sky

Of course, there’s another way to elevate your cable car rides – by having a fancy private dinner in the sky with stunning views. Singapore Cable Car offers a range of dining packages that you can book, perfect if you’re hoping to surprise your loved ones.

Regardless of what kind of ride you opt for, every cable car cabin experience will include gorgeous views. On the Mount Faber line, you’ll mostly get a top-down view of the sea that surrounds Sentosa, and some glimpses of the Southern Ridges trail. But if you’re riding the Sentosa route, you’ll get to enjoy a wide panorama of Sentosa Island itself.

One thing’s for sure, both routes will guarantee some pictures for the ‘Gram. If you’re looking to catch the sunset during your ride, book a slot in the evening. Going for their last timing at 9.30pm is also a great way to catch Sentosa and the Keppel Bay light up

Take a ride at Singapore Cable Car

Everyone should experience the Singapore Cable Car once in their lives. Whether you’re looking for something fun to do over the weekends, planning a romantic dinner to impress your Tinder date, or taking the kids out during the school holidays.

More recently, several cable car cabins have been redecorated as part of collaborations with famous franchises. While we’ve previously seen Pokémon-themed cable car cabins running along the 2 routes, new Hello Kitty-themed cable car cabins are now open to guests for Singapore Cable Car’s 50th anniversary. So there’s even more reason to head down and check it out for yourself.
