Singapore Cable Car – Scenic rides from Mt. Faber to Sentosa

Have you really seen all of Singapore if you haven’t taken a ride on the Singapore Cable Car? This icon doesn’t just connect Sentosa Island to Mount Faber, but it also gives riders a stunning eyeful of the Sentosa skyline and shoreline.

That being said, admiring skyline views while relaxing 80m above the ground is a fail-proof way to impress anyone. If you’re intrigued, here’s all you need to know before hopping on a ride:

2 routes to choose from – Mount Faber & Sentosa Lines

For starters, a single cabin car carries up to 8 pax/ride along 2 routes, the first being Mount Faber Line. A round trip here starts at Mount Faber, specifically Mount Faber Station, before travelling through Harbourfront Station and Sentosa Station in about 30 minutes. If you’re looking to explore other attractions in the individual areas, just keep your ticket in hand to hop on and off at any time across these 3 stations.

Meanwhile, the 20-minute-long Sentosa Line takes you to different areas in Sentosa. Your journey starts at Siloso Point Station and heads towards Imbiah Lookout Station. Stop here to enjoy the fun activities at Skyline Luge Sentosa or Adventure Cove. Hop back on the ride and you’ll end at Merlion Station, your stop for attractions like SEA Aquarium and Universal Studios Singapore

Say you’ve purchased the Cable Car Sky Pass ($35/child, $45/adult) unlimited cable car pass – this gives you unlimited rides all day. You can board and alight at any station from both lines, as many times as you want.

No cable car experience is complete without some gorgeous views. On the Mount Faber line, you’ll mostly get a top-down view of the sea that surrounds Sentosa, and some glimpses of the Southern Ridges trail. But if you’re riding the Sentosa route, you’ll get to enjoy a wide panorama of Sentosa Island itself.

One thing’s for sure, both routes will guarantee some pictures for the ‘Gram. If you’re looking to catch the sunset during your ride, book a slot in the evening. Going for their last timing at 9.30pm is also a great way to catch Sentosa and the Keppel Bay light up
