16 Best Places To Catch Fireworks In Singapore This NYE 2026, Including Heartland Spots

NYE fireworks in Singapore

New Year’s Eve isn’t complete without fireworks. After all, there’s nothing like ending the year with a bang. Just about every year, some of us would flock to Marina Bay or the heartlands to catch a glimpse of these pyrotechnic displays, although sometimes it feels as if the whole of Singapore is there.

So if you’re trying to find a less crowded spot to catch the fireworks, we’ve rounded up the best places to catch fireworks in Singapore this NYE.

What fireworks shows are there for New Year’s Eve 2026?

We’ll be starting the year off with a bang – literally – with fireworks shows all around the country.

There are 4 main places that you can catch fireworks on 31st December 2025:

  • Marina Bay: 30-minute fireworks display
  • Siloso Beach, Sentosa: 10-minute fireworks display
  • Palawan Beach, Sentosa: 10-minute fireworks display
  • Singapore Sports Hub: 35-minute fireworks display

Apart from the main festivities, 7 heartland locations are expected to have smaller fireworks displays as part of the ONE Countdown festivities.

North-East:

  • Countdown to 2026!: One Punggol Celebration Square & The Plaza/Open Field in front of One Punggol

East:

  • OTH Countdown Celebrations to 2026: Our Tampines Hub – Town Square & Festive Area, Level 1

West:

  • Hearts @ Boon Lay, Building Brighter Futures!: Hardcourt in front of Block 215 Boon Lay Place
  • Keat Hong Comes Alive 2026: Keat Hong Square, Hard Court next to Keat Hong Community Club

North:

  • Marsiling 2026 Countdown Party: Woodlands Secondary School
  • Nee Soon Countdown 2026 – Dare to Dream: Open field next to Futsal Arena @ Yishun
  • Woodlands Waterfront Countdown 2026: Woodlands Waterfront Park (drone show instead of fireworks)

– Marina Bay –

Marina Bay Singapore Countdown will be the highlight of all the countdown festivities, where there’ll be a 30-minute fireworks display. But before it hits midnight, make your way around the area to check out the other New Year’s Eve events.

Togetherland by World Christmas Market will be part of the NYE festivities, and ticketholders for 31st December 2025 will be allowed to stay till 1am on 1st January 2026. There’ll be a countdown, naturally, and you’ll be in prime position to catch the 30-minute fireworks show.

There are also free performances at the Esplanade, where local bands will be delivering originals and covers leading up to 2026. Then there’s a light projection show happening on the facade of UOB Plaza 1. Stay put if you’re visiting to catch these shows – these are also great spots to watch the fireworks illuminate the sky right in front of you.

1. Bay East Garden

Marina Bay is probably the first place that comes to mind when you think of NYE fireworks. For superior views without needing to be right in the middle of the action, head to Bay East Garden. You’ll get an unobstructed view of the fireworks with our iconic skyline as the backdrop – sans the crowd.

Sit on one of the many park benches or lay a picnic mat down on the grass patches while enjoying the display with your loved ones. And now that the Gardens By The Bay MRT station has opened as part of the Thomson-East Coast Line, it’s a lot more accessible too

2. Youth Olympic Park

Anyone who’s had to cross from The Float@Marina Bay Grandstand to the ArtScience Museum on the opposite side of the Bay would have seen the silver Olympic rings at the Youth Olympic Park. The small park is an homage to when Singapore hosted the Youth Olympic Games in 2010, and has a curated collection of installations from young artists.

While that’s all nice to admire, it’s also a great place to set up a small picnic to catch the fireworks at Marina Bay. There are pockets of fields around the park where you can plop yourself down to watch the show.

3. Queen Elizabeth Walk & Esplanade Park

In this concrete jungle, there are surprisingly many green spaces. Esplanade Park and the adjacent Queen Elizabeth Walk are great places to watch the Marina Bay fireworks.

While the area is pretty big, its proximity to Marina Bay means picnic spots will get choped fast. If you want a prime spot, we suggest heading to Queen Elizabeth Walk first, as it faces the Singapore River and Marina Bay. You’ll still be able to catch the fireworks at the Esplanade Park, but you might miss out on the glistening skyline of the city.

For a picnic under the stars – and fireworks – Marina Barrage is a popular choice. You can find people picnicking there throughout the year, but especially on NYE. As such, we recommend coming early to chope a spot there.

It overlooks the Singapore skyline, which makes it a great viewing spot for the fireworks. Remember: if got a lot of people, means it’s good.

5. Merlion Park

Another popular spot to view the fireworks from is Merlion Park. There are steps right next to the half-lion, half-fish statue where you can sit. With this spot being right at the edge, you’ll get a clear and close view of the fireworks display.

Here’s a fun fact: The Merlion has been strategically placed to face East for good feng shui. So you’ll be sure to enter the new year with some good luck. Who knows, you might even end up imitating it when your jaw drops while watching the spectacular show in the sky.

6. High Street Centre Car Park

Lesser-known spot by the SG River

We know what you’re probably thinking, “a carpark for fireworks?” Well, High Street Centre Car Park is often overlooked, but it’s a hidden gem for a nice view of the Singapore River landscape. Head up to the 5th floor of the carpark for a bird’s eye view of the area.

It’s a 6-minute walk from both Clarke Quay and City Hall, so you can grab an EOY dinner with loved ones before heading over for the fireworks display.

7. Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore

Alternative view of the city

Those who go on cruises to let off some steam will be familiar with the Marina Bay Cruise Centre. Located at Marina South Pier, you can get a sweeping view of Singapore from there.

Specifically, head to the carpark’s top floor, where you’ll find symmetrical architecture that frames the landscape nicely. Simply look out for the large wheel, the Singapore Flyer, to agak-agak where the fireworks will be.

While the view may not be as promising as the Esplanade, risk-takers can try hitting this place up to see if they can catch the fireworks from there. One thing’s for sure, the sound of the fireworks will be softer on the ears.

8. Golden Mile Tower Car Park

A hidden gem within the town area is the Golden Mile Complex. Since the popular Golden Mile Complex rooftop has been closed off to the public, we have an alternative close by – Golden Mile Tower Car Park.

While not as high up, it still offers a good view of the city and the fireworks display. Head up to the top floor of the open-air car park and perch on the parapet facing Marina Bay. It also features some vibrant designs of its own with a grey and turquoise colour palette.

9. Mount Faber Peak

Romantic dinner overlooking fireworks

2025 FIREWORKS VIEWING SPOTS - Mount Faber Peak

We all know Mount Faber for its Sentosa-bound cable cars – in fact, they’ve even kicked things up a notch with their Pokémon-themed cabins, which are in service till 30th April 2026. With that in mind, Faber Peak is also another secluded getaway for you and a special someone to clink glasses as you usher in the new year.

2025 FIREWORKS VIEWING SPOTS - Arbora Hilltop Garden & Bistro

Since it’s a lofty vantage point facing Sentosa, you’ll be perched high enough to appreciate the aforementioned offshore fireworks. There are also a couple of bars and restaurants to dine at, such as Arbora @ Mount Faber Peak, if you’d like a romantic dinner date accentuated by the glow of the fireworks.

– Sentosa –

Sentosa’s an alternative party spot for the countdown this year. Plus, there’ll be 2 places to catch the New Year’s Eve fireworks on the island.

If you’re already partying away at the beach clubs along Siloso Beach, you just need to direct your attention to the beach when the clock strikes 12 to catch a 10-minute fireworks display lighting up the night sky.

Just down the sandy strip of Siloso is Palawan Beach, which’ll have a more family-friendly set-up for the countdown. There’ll be free movie screenings starting from 5.30pm all the way to just before midnight. If the kids are still awake by then, they’ll be treated to a 10-minute fireworks show at 12am.

10. Siloso Beach

K-pop headliner & island-wide celebrations

Mainland Singapore ain’t the only place revelling in the year-end festivities. Sentosa’s known for their rambunctious parties, so best believe they’ve got a killer NYE countdown lined up. Siloso Beach will be hosting one of the island’s main events, Let’s Celebrate 2026, a countdown show featuring local acts and a main performance by K-pop girl group Red Velvet’s IRENE & SEULGI.

Let’s Celebrate 2026 will also be broadcast on Mediacorp Channel 5 if you plan on counting down from home. Catch it on mewatch, the Mediacorp YouTube channel, or on the Mediacorp TikTok.

The prime viewing points to watch the fireworks include the Central Beach Bazaar, the Wings of Time seating gallery, and the Sentosa Sensoryscape.

11. Palawan Green & beach clubs

Movie marathons & raves

The other place to catch fireworks is at Palawan Beach. Don’t forget, you can catch free movie screenings at Palawan Kidz City before the countdown starts:

  • 5.30pm: Mr Bean’s Holiday
  • 7.30pm: Sing
  • 9.30pm: Jurassic World

If you’re already at Palawan Beach, stay there. Otherwise, Palawan Green is an optimum choice to watch the fireworks. The sprawling green faces the water, plus it’s near The Palawan @ Sentosa that has food trucks if you want to grab a lil nosh before the show.

For those who don’t have to tuck the lil’ ones into bed just yet, Tipsy Unicorn Beach Club, +Twelve, and 1-Altitude Coast are hosting raves that’ll have you partying into the wee hours of the morning. There’s nothing quite like starting 2026 with your best dancing foot forward.

– The Kallang (former Singapore Sports Hub) –

New to the countdown lineup this year is Countdown 2026 at the Singapore Sports Hub (now known as The Kallang). The festivities kick off at 7pm with a countdown procession along The Kallang and music-synchronised fireworks from 9pm, building up the anticipation to midnight.

Countdown to the new year with a star-studded concert, featuring K-pop boy band Super Junior, Chinese vocalist Cheng Huan, and local artists like Benjamin Kheng and Tabitha Nauser. Then ring in the new year with Singapore’s longest fireworks display lasting 35 minutes across 4 chapters, starting from 9pm.

12. Tanjong Rhu Promenade

While all the action is taking place at The Kallang, you can go a little further down to Tanjong Rhu Promenade to catch views of both the Marina Bay and the Sports Hub displays. We recommend renting a bike and cycling down – it’s well worth it for the peace and quiet you’d get.

Fireworks aside, enjoy a picturesque view of the river as you stroll along the promenade and stand at the Tanjong Rhu Lookout Tower or Suspension Bridge. Here’s the perfect opportunity to take a moment to reflect on the year as you gaze out at the sick views.

13. Nicoll Highway

Peaceful riverbank

If you’d like a rather ulu spot that is a good distance away, there’s a little park that’s just a 2-minute walk from Nicoll Highway MRT. You can sit by the riverbank with your loved one and watch the light show from afar. So you’ll also be spared the loud popping sounds from fireworks while getting to enjoy them visually.

While clear views are not guaranteed, you can enjoy a relaxing picnic or stroll here to enter the new year with a calmer mindset. There are shelters and a public toilet too, so you’ll be dry if it were to rain.

14. Arena @ Our Tampines Hub

Catch fireworks in the heartlands

Every year, Our Tampines Hub (OTH) has a countdown event to usher in the new year. While some may choose to watch the fireworks from the heart of OTH or nearby blocks, a good viewing spot is Arena @ Our Tampines Hub.

Easties, this one’s a good option if you’d rather not make the downtown trip to mingle with the hordes of people at Marina Bay. Although OTH is quite the hotspot when it comes to these large-scale events in the heartlands, at least you’ll have a quick and fuss-free trip back home when everything’s done and dusted.

Alternatively, there are a couple of late-night eateries to chill at while you and the squad ponder over New Year’s resolutions. Hit up either the tried and tested Encik Tan, or make the stroll over to the 24-hour McDonald’s, both at OTH.

15. One Punggol

Year-end fireworks have been a thing at the open field next to One Punggol for a couple of years now. This year, there’s more to the festivities than just fireworks. Heartlanders will also be treated to themed carnival zones and bouncy castles for the little ones. In the lead-up to 2026, there’ll even be multicultural performances and karate demos that’ll get you excited for the year ahead.

16. Open field next to Futsal Arena @ Yishun

Northies have their chance to catch a drone show this NYE at the Futsal Arena @ Yishun. The Nee Soon Countdown 2026 is open to residents in the area and will prove to be a night of fun with its carnival rides, games, food, and interactive art installations.
