Berjaya Resort may only be a 20-minute drive from Langkawi International Airport, but it feels like another world altogether. 3. Arch Studio Cenang – Brooklyn-style loft rooms & family studios

Pantai Cenang is the tourist hotspot in Langkawi due to its many beach bars, shopping options, and budget-friendly hotels – so trust us, you’ll find yourself heading there during your trip to Langkawi. For those who want to be in the middle of the action, check into Arch Studio Cenang. It’s located just a 5-minute walk from Pantai Cenang.

This is where you get to live your Gossip Girl Humphrey family dreams, because the loft-style rooms look like they’re right out of Brooklyn. Prices are pretty affordable, too, starting from RM215 (~S$64.47) for a Junior Studio, which comes with a balcony that faces the pool.

4. Lot 33 Boutique Hotel – Aesthetic villas with private jacuzzi

It’s also a pretty affordable option in Pantai Cenang, with rates starting from S$49. It’s just a few minutes walk from plenty of water activities on the beach like jetskiing and parasailing. At night, nocturnal travellers can knock down a few beers at the many beach bars that make up the Langkawi party scene.

5. Tanjong Rhu Resort – Ulu luxe resort on Langkawi’s northern tip

For those who want to escape the crowds, Tanjong Rhu Resort is a luxury resort on the northern tip of Langkawi. It may be a 30-minute drive from the airport, but the hotel can arrange a private limousine to fetch you in style, at an additional cost.
The resort may be in a hidden enclave on the island, but that doesn’t mean you’ll be totally disconnected from civilisation – just rent a Sedan, MPV, or limo from the hotel to drive to attractions around Langkawi.
Tanjong Rhu Resort also organises sunset cruises and mangrove tours, if you want to see the wildlife and flora and fauna of Langkawi with your own eyes. There are even beachfront ATV rides for thrillseekers.

“Huh, but not expensive meh?” you may be thinking. Prices start from RM750 (~S$224) for the Damai Suite. That’s the usual rate for a 3- or 4- star hotel in Singapore. But here, you’re getting a separate living area and small balcony with views of the central garden courtyard with the Damai Suite. Now, we think that’s getting your money’s worth.

6. Aloft Langkawi Pantai Tengah – Family-friendly resort with Kids Club

Another option for families with young kids is Aloft Langkawi Pantai Tengah, a family-friendly resort at Pantai Tengah. For the uninitiated, the beach is a quieter alternative to Pantai Cenang, while still boasting the same views and activities as its more popular counterpart.

Our favourite feature of the hotel, though, is the rooftop swimming pool with scenic views of Langkawi’s surrounding mountains. We don’t know about you, but it looks like the perfect spotwe just want to chope on of the loungers, grab a glass of juice, and read a book here.
