McDonald’s Hello Kitty 50th anniversary plushies

Singaporeans often go bonkers for the collectibles that McDonald’s bundle with their meals. Just look at past releases like the Pokémon Match Battle Happy Meal and the pint-sized Pretend-Play Happy Meal Toys, and you’ll see the pulling power of said collectibles.

This time’s no different, as the Golden Arches will soon be releasing a run of adorable McDonald’s Hello Kitty 50th anniversary plushies. Here are all the adorable plush collectibles you can get throughout the month of February:

The McDonald’s Hello Kitty 50th anniversary collection sees the iconic feline dressed to the nines in different outfits such as a sailor uniform and mermaid costume.

There’ll be a total of 4 sets to collect, with the first one being the 50th Anniversary and McD Crew, where the adorable characters are dressed as McDonald’s employees. They’re up for grabs at 11am on 15th February; while the other 3 sets will be released after 1 week:

  • Matsuri & Marine: 19th February, 11am
  • Standard & Strawberry Bear: 22nd February, 11am
  • Teddy Bear & Mermaid: 26th February, 11am

You can purchase each set at $9.90 when you get an Extra Value Meal, Feast, 2x Value Meal, or Family Meal in a single transaction. Do note that there’s a limit of a maximum of 2 sets per customer.

Based on past McDonald’s x Hello Kitty releases, we’re convinced that Singaporeans are simply born with an innate affinity for the mouthless cat. The launch of 2019’s McDonald’s Hello Kitty carrier saw snaking queues that started forming at the break of dawn, so you’ll want to head down early to avoid disappointment.
