Learn and play in the great outdoors
Kids aged 2-5 years old will be familiar with Cartoonito, a daily programme block on the Cartoon Network. The programming features themes such as inclusivity in how kids interact with those around them.
This Cartoonito Play Date event focuses on outdoor play, which is something that every kid – even those who grow up in the city – will enjoy. It’s held at Wildlings, a forest school at Dempsey Hill that allows kids to enjoy playing in the area’s natural greenery.

Though most of us live in Singapore’s dense urban areas, there are lots of kid-friendly green spaces – even near the city centre. At the Cartoonito Play Date, kids can go for a walk along the Woodland Trail at the nature space at Wildlings to learn interesting facts and figures about nature.
Kids love climbing and balancing, and they’ll be thrilled with this rustic obstacle course made from natural elements like logs and wood, and repurposed tyres.

They can also learn how to care for the environment by getting hands on with the planting workshop. Here, kids can plant their own creations and start cultivating their green thumbs.

Your kids will be able to make their favourite Cartoonito characters at the Crafting with Clay sessions, and take them home as a memento of the play date.

There are a tonne of options to get close to nature, even if we’re hardcore city folk. Plan for your kids to have a solid 80 minutes of sweaty, sunshiny fun in the great outdoors while learning more about nature.
There’s free parking in the area, and the Museum of Ice Cream and lots of restaurants are around the corner, so you can plan a full day out as a family while here. Just make sure to register for the play date at the Cartoonito website before you make the trip down.
