Rink @ Punggol East

We’re all familiar with the age-old debate of East vs West. Shelve that for now as the North-East is on its way to taking the crown. Once known to be an ulu corner of Singapore, the area is now popping with not just Sengkang Grand Mall and Punggol Regional Library filling its space. Its latest trump card is Rink @ Punggol East, the largest roller sports rink in Singapore.

You don’t need to check the forecast to know that the weather in Singapore these days gets a little cuckoo. Still, enjoy outdoor sports without feeling the wrath of the sun or getting drenched by a sudden downpour at Rink @ Punggol East, a fully sheltered space located within Punggol Container Park

The 12,000sqft space flexes a rink with a perimeter of 150 metres – that’s plenty of space to whizz around and try out some stunts. Bring your own equipment out for a spin here, or take your pick from one of their many selections.

They’ve got skateboards, penny boards, and longboards for aspiring skater boys – and girls. Pedal go-karts and scooters are available for the kids. If you’re here on a date, go for their inline skates if you need a reason to ~*hold hands*~.

Complete beginners can also sign up for trial lessons on weekends by contacting the business on WhatsApp.

The best part? You can take any of the equipment out of the rink, or even rent a bike – kid-friendly 4-wheelers are available – to explore the surrounding area. The facility is located along a PCN, which leads you to nearby attractions like Coney Island, Punggol Waterway Park, and Lorong Halus Wetlands

Spend a day out at Rink @ Punggol East

The Rink at JCube may be closed but on the bright side, we now have a new rink in its stead. Come dressed in comfortable sports attire and be sure to set aside extra time after your visit to try out the area’s many food options – including Whisk & Paddle, a popular brunch spot.

For a full day’s worth of activities, you can also find Hai Bin nearby for prawning, and Ark Bloc which has bouldering walls and gym equipment.
