1. Permas Go-Kart Club
1.4km track spread across 10 acres of land

Permas Go-Kart Club at Plentong Karting Circuit boasts one of the cheapest rates in terms of price to track length ratio. The location is quite ulu, but if you choose to head a little further out of the way, you’ll be able to enjoy the wide open space it offers while you ride the 1.4km track.
And while the karts are on the older side, they are well-maintained and allegedly reach up to 160km/h, so don’t worry about not getting your money’s worth in speed. Pro riders can bring their own kart for a starting fee of RM150 (~S$46.87) for a full day of racing.
Price: From RM47 (~S$14.69) per 10-minute session
Permas Go-Kart Club review: “Long drive in, off-track roads, so for those who treasure their cars, please reconsider. If not, a ride through the tracks in the palm oil estate is soothing, about a 2km ride in. Avoid driving in after 4pm as it can be pretty dark once the sunlight is out. Very reasonably priced. Paid RM$57/person for beginners’ 10min ride.” – Mohd Amin via Google Maps
2. RUD Karting Medini
Competitive outdoor racing with KTV

RUD Karting Medini is the brand’s flagship circuit among 6 other circuits across Malaysia. The track runs 874m long with 16 corners, making it one of the longest in the region. You can pick from a range of karts with custom specifications – for example, their Super Twin kart (RM150, ~S$46.87) allows 2 riders to sit side-by-side together on the same kart. Only 1 driver gets to control the steering wheel – ideal for those who don’t feel comfortable going alone.

Plus, if racing isn’t up your alley, The Rud Cafe is an in-house dining venue for you to relax at and grab a bite in an alfresco setting. The track and its cafe are open until the wee hours of 1am, which means it’s possible to rock up in the evening to avoid the blazing heat of the afternoon sun, and still have loads to do.
Price: From RM79 (~S$24.68) per 10-minute session
RUD Karting Medini review: “The track is well-maintained and suitable for both beginners and those who already have some karting experience. Whether you’re just there for fun or looking to challenge your friends, it’s a great place to enjoy some speed and excitement. The staff are also helpful and ensure everything runs smoothly, which makes you feel safe while still having a lot of fun.” – Mcw Chow via Google Maps
3. KF Kiddy Circuit @ Southkey Mid Valley
Kid-friendly circuit for the little ones

KF Kiddy Circuit @ Southkey Mid Valley might be a familiar name to some, as Singapore has our very own KF1 Karting Circuit back home. There’s a difference though – while the KF1 in Singapore is outdoors and catered to adults, KF Kiddy Circuit is indoors and was built specifically for all ages. It has a 200m racetrack with unique themes for the little racers out there.
The track isn’t just all flash – parents don’t have to worry, as the course is designed with safety in mind. The go-karts have a maximum speed of 8km/h and are equipped with seatbelts to secure the driver in place. On top of that, parents can tag along with their child in the same kart, so even the youngest of kids can enjoy the experience.
KF Kiddy Circuit Toppen Ikea is the other alternative JB outlet located in Toppen Shopping Centre. Pick between the 2 depending on where your family is heading for the day.
Price: From RM35 (~S$10.95) per 8-minute session
KF Kiddy Circuit @ Southkey Mid Valley review: “The facilities are clean, safe, and very well maintained. There are plenty of fun activities to keep children entertained, active, and engaged for hours. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help, making the visit even more enjoyable.” – ST MARKS 11 via Google Maps

Theme park dedicated to adventure sports

We have another theme park on this list, but X Park Sunway Iskandar stands out as it’s dedicated to adventure sports, and has its very own park-exclusive go-karting circuit. With archery, ATV, and paintball facilities, you won’t find yourself bored with nothing to do.
While your regular singular Fast Karts will cost RM70 (~S$21.79) for a 10-minute session, you can also opt to ride as a pair on a Double Seater Kart at the same price. Don’t worry – the kids will also be able to get their own Kiddie Kart (RM35/~S$10.89) for a smaller, safer ride. And, if you’ve come in a big group, ask the friendly staff to help organise a mini race amongst your party.
Price: From RM70 (~S$21.79) per 10-minute session
X Park Sunway Iskandar review: “The circuit is relatively long with a fantastic mix of tricky bends and also straights for overtaking. Best of all, the track is fully covered and opens late, so you can race well into the night regardless of the weather. While the on-site cafe leaves a bit to be desired, it’s not an issue at all. The Sunway Big Box retail mall is right next door, offering other dining options.” – Yoogeesan via Google Maps

Price: From RM70 (~S$21.79) per 8-minute session
Evolt Karting Johor review: “The karts are well managed and in shape, the track is also pretty challenging. They run a clockwise and anti-clockwise track respectively, during weekdays and weekends. I would recommend this track to any avid karting enthusiast as it’s always challenging and there is a mix of sharp turns and flat-out corners for enjoyment.” – Aaryan Nagaraj Ramya via Google Maps
6. DMC Karting
Double-storey circuit 20-minute drive from the checkpoint

DMC Karting, AKA Drift Masters Club, is an indoor go-karting arena that’s only a stone’s throw away from the immigration checkpoint. Don’t worry if you’re a beginner – the helpful staff will demonstrate how to drive the go-kart and pull off drifting stunts so you can impress all your friends.
This venue is open until midnight and has 2 neon-lit sectors, divided into Level G and Level 1, for both adults and kids to try. The former is ideal for novices behind the wheel, while the latter comes with its share of ramps and slopes that are perfect for the more experienced. Whether you’re new at this or a pro, you’ll find the ride equally satisfying.
Price: From RM30 (~S$9.34) per 10-minute session
DMC Karting review: “Overall, we really enjoyed the go-karting experience because both adults and kids can ride together. However, one downside is that some older kids and adults tend to drive very fast, which can be risky for those who are slower. This can be especially dangerous for younger children who are still learning how to control the go-kart.” – Mabbel Elroy via Google Maps

Cruise around the neon-lit racetrack as you slide in and out of turns on the special drift-karts. These karts are fitted with special rear wheels designed to let you slide around curves and corners at top speed. Note that the sessions here are on the shorter side, so it’s perfect for a quick ride in between mall activities like dining and shopping. Or, you could just combine a bunch of sessions for a longer time at the circuit if you feel like you haven’t gotten enough.
Price: From RM20 (~S$6.23) per 5-minute session
