Barbershops in Singapore
Be it a first date or job interview, it’s always important to leave a good impression. That said, keeping yourself groomed is something you should do even on a regular basis. As do manners maketh man, so does kempt hair. While some barbers out there charge $70 or more per haircut or beard shave, we’ve compiled a list of barbershops in Singapore that charge $45 and below.
You may have been scrimping with $5 haircuts, but it is fair to splurge occasionally and spoil yourself with a pampering gentlemen’s barbershop experience. These barbers will keep you looking suave and dapper – and maybe even to help you look more like a towkay than your boss.

Representing Yishun, we have Rockarolla Barber. Alright, hold your stereotypes fellas, Yishun is not all that bad. With its plain white walls, light parquet flooring, and minimal embellishments, this place has a zen Muji vibe that’ll instantly help you relax.
Those aged 6-16 years get their haircuts at a cheaper rate of $15, so take your little man down for a cool back-to-school haircut.

However, don’t be fooled by its rather demure facade, because this place also doubles up as a jamming studio, complete with electric guitars and a full drum set. You can book the studio at a rate of $25/hour, with regular promos and bundle deals.
2. Acidic Chop Shop – Underground Hypebeast vibes

Proud representatives of the Hypebeast tribe would want to make a trip down to Acidic Chop Shop. The barbershop has an underground street vibe, with grey brick walls and even a Supreme logo board with red drawers to match.

While the Hypebeast fashion trend is often associated with softer Korean hairstyles, this barbershop’s delivery of the classy slick back undercut is uncompromised. There are 2 Acidic Chop Shop outlets located in Jurong just streets apart from each other, which certainly eases the waiting list.
3. DeepCuts – Staff trained at the Netherlands’ top barber academy

Situated in a shophouse with vintage American-inspired decor, DeepCuts offers affordable haircuts with an expensive feel. A number of their barbers received their training at The Old-School Barber Academy by Schorem in Rotterdam – said to be the best barbershop cum academy in the Netherlands.
Their specialty lies within the field of classic pompadours, modern pompadours, and quiffs, with most customers rocking these styles. Consultation and styling are included for every haircut, and women are also welcome!

For those who are rocking a full beard, DeepCuts also offers hot towel shaves and beard trimming/sculpting services to keep your manly mane neat and tidy.
4. Limpeh Barbershop – Old-school barber pole theme

Limpeh Barbershop brings you back to the good ol’ days with a colour scheme that’s inspired by those blue, white, and red striped barber poles that we used to frequently come across in HDB estates. It’s also furnished with old-school furniture such as rustic metal drawers and cabinets, leather seats, and retro ceiling lamps.
What’s more attractive than their decor are their affordable services. A haircut costs less than $30, and students, NSFs, and seniors get to enjoy special rates of as low as $15. Be sure to look out for special discounts and extended operating hours during festive seasons! For instance, their Hari Raya Cuts promo has walk-in cuts at a flat rate of $28, and they’ll be open till as late as 2am.
5. Atatcutz – Open till midnight daily

Atatcutz might look a little small, with 4 hairstyling stations squeezed in a 2×2 configuration, but it’s still worth the trip for their variety of services that are easy on the wallet.

The black brick walls and wooden floor panels give it a classy vibe, but the best part? They operate till 12am daily. This makes things convenient for those who often have to work late or need a last-minute clean-up for an important meeting the next morning.
6. Autocutt Barbershop – Biker-themed decor

Autocutt is a vintage motorbike-themed barbershop with 3 outlets, in Serangoon, Commonwealth, and Joo Chiat. All outlets have tastefully badass interiors, with black and white checkered tiles which are reminiscent of race flags.
The Serangoon branch even has a Triumph Tiger parked outside, while the Commonwealth one has a striking red 1940s Matchless within – something bike enthusiasts will drool over.

Hombre Barberblade does not only offer classic haircuts, but also audacious hair designs (from $35) where intricate patterns are shaven onto your mop.
Perhaps this floral design may not be the most appropriate choice for your job interview, but it is definitely worth a shot if you’re feeling bold – especially if your school or workplace doesn’t have a dress code. Otherwise, stick to a slick modern pompadour cut and you won’t go wrong.

Fun fact: in line with their music-related decor, they also have their very own record label called TGR Studio, under which they perform live sessions. On top of that, they also carry their own house brand of pomades – from Matte Paste ($20) to Strong Hold Pomade ($28) – and an array of men’s grooming products like Beard Oil ($20).
