You won’t be the only one enamoured by some of the recent hotels in Singapore that have rocked the  “tiny home living” concept. While the front has a patio that can give its little secret away, the back is basically Harry Potter’s magic cloak. Passersby might not even realise that they’ve walked past a whopping 40ft container.

A container hotel may not suggest the most spacious of staycations, so you’ll probably be surprised to discover that the interior of this is anything but cramped.

It’s fully kitted out with a kitchen, bedroom with a king-size bed and bathroom equipped with a snazzy standalone bathtub. The living room area also comes with a hidden queen-size bed you can pull down when it’s time to snooze.

In fact, there’s enough room to fit 4 adults comfortably, with space to spare if you need to add on an extra mattress for an additional guest.

Despite its off-grid appearance, there’s electricity, WiFi and Netflix so you can chill within the hotel room all day if that’s your idea of a perfect getaway.

For those who decide to leave the hidden enclave, Timbre+ is just a stone’s throw away for some nosh and one-north MRT station across the road. You may want to think twice before ordering a food delivery service, lest your delivery gets mega-confused at the obscure location.

As there’s only one “invisible” room available, be sure to book in advance if you’d like to secure this specific room type. For those who’d prefer a different aesthetic, Shipping Container Hotel also has another cosy container room located around the corner, of a rusty orange facade, with similar room amenities and rates.
