Free Tiger Crystal
For most Singaporeans, the word “free” makes our eyes light up like no other – especially when it’s a free pint of beer.
From 1st October – 14th December 2020, you can redeem a free bottle of Tiger Crystal simply by ordering any dish from one of the 50 participating F&B outlets.
Here are 5 places you can head to with your besties for the ideal first drink of the evening when you’re looking to wind down for the night, sorted according to different parts of the island.

1. Chug Chug Singapore – near CBD folks
For those working near or in the CBD, head down to Chug Chug Singapore – a cosy bar just down the street at Tanjong Pagar Road. Soak in the chill ambience of 90s music while bonding over Tiger Crystal and their array of fusion dishes.
A clear standout is the Japanese Pidan Tofu ($13). Pidan is century egg in Mandarin, and also the main star of the dish. On top of a silken tofu is a generous load of century egg sauce, minced century egg, shredded crab meat, tobiko and negi – which all marry each other for an explosion of sweet and savoury tastes that will likely make you reach for seconds.
Their duck & seafood crepe ($16) features their signature crispy duck, and comes with a side of wasabi aioli to spice things up. The sweet, tender duck meat wrapped in thin crepe brings out the refreshing notes of Tiger Crystal.
For a crispy bite to pair with your beers, order their fried garlic pork ($13) – which includes seasoned pork belly and big chunks of fragrant fried garlic.

2. Stickies @ Sunset Way – neighbourhood bar for Westies
Some of life’s simplest joys include unwinding after a long day of work with some good company to HTHT with. Best yet if it’s somewhere nearby so you don’t have to waste precious time on travel. For westies, look no further than Stickies @ Sunset Way, a neighbourhood bar nestled among Clementi HDB residences.
Truffle fries topped with parmesan cheese and a side of truffle mayo ($12) and sesame wings ($8 for half portion, $14 for full portion).
Tiger Crystal is best enjoyed when paired with some bar bites. Think aromatic truffle fries and juicy, sweet yet spicy chicken wings to get you drooling.
The new dish on the menu, mantou-sticks ($4.50/stick, $8/2 sticks) is a must try. Stuffed between the deep-fried mantou is a crispy and caramelised luncheon meat – you can choose your drizzle from chilli crab sauce, nachos cheese and mayo, or the Stickies special house sauce.

3. Mooloolabar – situated amongst Katong shophouses
Easties can head over to Mooloolabar, an Australian-inspired restaurant bar along the stretch of shophouses at Katong. Its relaxing ambience makes it the place to destress after a hectic day with a round of Tiger Crystal.
Some of their bar bites include Chicken Karaage ($10), Potato Wedges With Cheese Dip ($12) and Spring Rolls ($10). They also serve up salads, burgers and other mains like Fish and Chips ($14) for those who’d prefer a full meal.

4. Fusion Kitchen & Bar – dine next to the sea
For those staying along the purple line, you can visit this gem at The Punggol Settlement – Fusion Kitchen & Bar. Sit outdoors if you want to enjoy the sea breeze and have a view of lush greenery. If you’d like to bop to some Mandopop ballads and enjoy aircon, head indoors, where you can challenge your pals to a round of darts with Tiger Crystal in hand.
Signature pork knuckle and beer-battered sidewinders ($25.90)
One of the most popular dishes on their menu is the Signature Pork Knuckle ($25.90) – unsurprising since it was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. You also have 3 different sauces on the side to dip in – their house made Thai-style chilli with a hint of sourness, honey mustard and mushroom sauce.
Seafood lovers can try the twister prawn with sweet and chilli sauce on the side ($18.90), a no-mess finger food to snack on.

5. K Bar Korean Bistro – alfresco dining near Khatib MRT
Only an 8-minute walk from Khatib MRT, K Bar Korean Bistro is located just next to ORTO adventure park, right next to a lake. Head down with bae at sunset to catch some amazing views together while you cheers your Tiger Crystal bottles to kickstart a date.

K Bar serves up authentic Korean cuisine – the kind that you crave after watching an episode of a K-drama. A must-try is their Royal Korean Army Stew ($29.90) which includes a wide variety of ingredients such as pork sukiyaki, hotdog, shitake mushroom, baked beans and cheese.
K Bar’s house special fries topped generously with kimchi, mayonnaise, cheese and pork belly and luncheon bits ($6.90).
If you’re feeling experimental, a unique dish they have on the menu is Rabboki ($11.90), a combination of kimchi ramen and tteokbokki rice cakes. This comforting dish is served in a gold coloured metal bowl, which adds even more to the “dining out in Korea” vibes.

Tiger Crystal is Tiger Beer’s light lager that we know and love, but filtered at a temperature of -1°C to make it even more refreshing and smooth to sip down.
