Things to do at FairPrice Hub

As the saying goes for some people, West is best. If going grocery shopping is your passion, then you’d agree – because tucked away in the industrial area of Joo Koon is FairPrice Hub

This mall is so underrated that it doesn’t even have a store directory. But if you’re planning a visit, don’t worry about going in clueless; we’ve compiled a list of things to do at FairPrice Hub, should you want to head to this mysterious goliath for your next grocery run.

What is Fairprice Hub?

Just as its name suggests, FairPrice Hub is a mall built by the FairPrice Group in Joo Koon in 2015. This 16-storey-high mall spans a total space of 1.3 million sqft, and houses a mega version of an NTUC store called the Warehouse Club, a jumbo-sized Decathlon outlet, and a myriad of dining spots

How to get to FairPrice Hub?

You may be thinking, “this one confirm ulu” – but we’re happy to report that FairPrice Hub is very accessible via public transportation. It’s located right by Exit A of Joo Koon MRT station and is also connected to Joo Koon Bus Interchange. And if you’re driving, there’s a multi-storey carpark with plenty of parking spots.

Warehouse Club

The “IKEA” of supermarkets

The Warehouse Club reminds us of IKEA. But instead of shelves stacked with DIY furniture, the ones here are chock-full of snacks and drinks instead.

The store started as a members-only wholesale store, much like Cosco or Tesco, with bulk discounts and scaffolding shelves. However, NTUC FairPrice is ceasing memberships from 31st October 2024 as the store will go through a massive revamp, shutting down on 21st March 2024 and reopening as FairPrice Joo Koon in due course.

Members can exchange their memberships for a $5 off $50 discount voucher; or a $10/$20 FairPrice Voucher if they paid $10-$20 for their memberships. Visit Warehouse Club’s website for more details.

Even if you’re not a member, you can still access the Warehouse Club store and enjoy their deals that happen on a rotational basis. Some deals spotted here have been $18.50 for a bottle of wine from the Australian company Just Wine (U.P. $28.01) and $15.60 for 10kg of FairPrice brand jasmine fragrant rice (U.P. $16.10).

You don’t have to be an expert chef to experience walking into a fridge, as you can head down to their walk-in chiller and have the chilly experience sans the Masterchef title. The veggies and fruits here range from bundles of baby kailan ($1.67/each) to watermelons ($6/each).
