Aqua Adventure at HomeTeamNS Bedok Reservoir
In sunny Singapore where temperatures can soar to sweltering highs of 35°C and above, places where we can cool off and take a dip are much appreciated. Aqua Adventure is Singapore’s newest indoor water park, joining Wild Wild Wet, Adventure Cove, and a slew of smaller-scale water activities on our shores.
It’s located in HomeTeamNS Bedok Reservoir, a sprawling clubhouse packed with other activity options like an action indoor playground, sports facilities, and Man Caves for rent. Here’s the lowdown on Aqua Adventure, which officially opens to the public on 2nd June 2023.
Thrilling attractions like the longest indoor waterslide in Singapore
Fun fact: Aqua Adventure was developed by the same team behind Adventure HQ over at HomeTeamNS Khatib. That means you can expect the same level of thrills and spills, but in a refreshing water park environment.
What’s a water park without a waterslide you can zip down and have a splashin’ good time on? If you fancy yourself a daredevil, you’ll love the adrenaline rush that comes with Aqua Adventure’s mega long waterslide – the longest in all of Singapore, in fact.
Grab a friend and a float. Or, if you’re brave enough to tackle this alone, try it.
The tube waterslide measures a whopping 114m, filled with loops and curves that’ll have you squealing with glee and likely raring for more rounds once you’ve yeeted out. Personally, the sharp turns were a little scary at first but it only got my adrenaline pumping.
Another slide to tackle will be the Black Hole slide. And like its name, a majority of the ride is shrouded in pitch darkness but not to worry, there are sections where you can see a little light coming through so that you have some sense of direction and orientation. Do make sure you follow their instructions and that’s to keep your legs crossed and hands over your chest.
Both rides may sound intimidating but they’re actually pretty manageable and overall, kids-friendly. However, kids will have to be at least 1.25m tall and weigh 30kg for safety reasons.
Get active with their different zones
One thing many of us look forward to in water parks is floating around on the lazy river or working on our tan. But if you’d prefer to get your heart pumping instead, Aqua Adventure also has an aquatic rope course, gamified climbing walls, and a netted obstacle course for you to unleash your inner Ninja Warrior.
The Aqua Course is made up of 8 obstacles to tackle and though it may look intimidating, rest assured that you’ll be well-equipped with a harness and safety briefing before you get going. Staff will also be around to “save” you if you need some help.
If you wanna up your game and make the obstacle a little more challenging, play with the ropes and buttons on the obstacle course to get water splashing around. Psst … here’s your chance to sabo your friends too.
For a break from the water, consider a round or two at Clockwork Towers, which are gamified climbing walls over at Aqua Adventure’s “dry section”. Wet shoes will be available for you to use to scale those walls.
Unlike the usual rocking climbing walls, look forward to a few different variations such as handles and rotating gears – adding some spice to your fun.
If you’re the competitive sort, pull a friend and have a go at their speed walls. There’s a buzzer at the end to determine which climber ascends to victory first. May the best climber win.
Still looking for some fun and games? Head over to the Scramble Net where you’ll be faced with ropes, platforms and swings. This is truly a test of your coordination and balance.
Chill in the Laze Pool
Now that you’re done with the fun and the games, head over to the Laze Pool to unwind. There are also floating platforms that you can use to chill on as well. And not to mention, this is also a rather insta-worthy spot too.
Keep a lookout for games that’ll be happening from time to time at the Laze Pool, such as Captains’ Ball and aquatic dog and bone.
Cool off in the East with Aqua Adventure
Although these exhilarating elements make Aqua Adventure less like the traditional water parks you know and more of an indoor “water adventure centre”, it’s certainly a good destination even for non-thrill-seeking types. If the thought of whizzing down the extra-long waterslide has you quaking in your swimmers, feel free to take things slow and just chill in the pool.
You can also bookmark this place for parties and team bonding as there are 2 event rooms available for bookings, each with a maximum capacity of 15 pax. HomeTeamNS Bedok Reservoir has so many other entertainment options at your disposal, making it well worth the journey to the East.
