Representing Yishun is Cocoon by Rockarolla. Alright, hold your stereotypes, fellas, Yishun is not all that bad. With its plain white walls, light parquet flooring, and minimal embellishments, this place has a zen Muji vibe that’ll instantly help you relax.
Kids aged 6-12 years get their haircuts at a cheaper rate of $18, so take your little man down for a cool back-to-school haircut. Teens can get their hair cut for just $25, while adults pay $35.

2. Acidic Chop Shop

Proud representatives of the Hypebeast tribe would want to make a trip down to Acidic Chop Shop. The barbershop has an underground street vibe, with grey brick walls and even a Supreme logo board with red drawers to match.

While the Hypebeast fashion trend is often associated with softer Korean hairstyles, this barbershop’s delivery of the classy slick back undercut is uncompromised. Each cut also comes with a wash, and prices start from $30 for a junior barber haircut to $50 for a haircut from the head barber.

3. DeepCuts

Situated in a shophouse with vintage American-inspired decor, DeepCuts offers affordable haircuts with an expensive feel. A number of their barbers received their training at The Old-School Barber Academy by Schorem in Rotterdam – said to be the best barbershop cum academy in the Netherlands.
Their specialty lies within the field of classic pompadours, modern pompadours, and quiffs, with most customers rocking these styles. Haircuts are priced from $45 for an hour-long session, up to $60 for a haircut with the DeepCuts founder Dr. Faz. Consultation and styling are included for every haircut, and women are also welcome!

For those who are rocking a full beard, DeepCuts also offers hot towel shaves ($40) and beard trimming/sculpting services ($30) to keep your manly chin mane neat and tidy.
4. Limpeh Barbershop

Limpeh Barbershop brings you back to the good ol’ days with a colour scheme that’s inspired by those blue, white, and red striped barber poles that we used to frequently come across in HDB estates. It’s also furnished with old-school furniture such as rustic metal drawers and cabinets, leather seats, and retro ceiling lamps.
Haircuts at Limpeh Barbershop are $40 for a 1-hour session. Tertiary students and NSFs can enjoy a special rate of $30 for the same service.
5. Atatcutz

Atatcutz might look a little small, with 4 hairstyling stations squeezed in a 2×2 configuration, but it’s still worth the trip for their variety of services that are easy on the wallet.

7. The Lufts Barbershop

Keep It Handsome Barbershop keeps it simple. No fancy decor or furnishing, just good haircuts in heartland locations. After the success of their Tampines flagship, they’ve since gone on to open another outlet in Hougang.

At just $20 for a regular no-frills haircut, this barber in Singapore is the most affordable on our list, and prices get even lower for juniors ($16) and pioneers ($12). If you’re looking to elevate your look through a signature design on your noggin, you can get a hair tattoo here from $6, depending on the complexity of the design.

11. Pharoah’s Horses Classic Barbershop

You might know Pharoah’s Horses Classic Barbershop by its old name, Hounds of the Baskervilles. The barber shop in Singapore opened in 2012 under the mentorship of an established Australian barber shop owner, Kyle Soulsby of Soulsbys Barbers, and is widely regarded as an OG in the scene as far as barbershops in Singapore go.

More than a decade on, the same teachings courtesy of Soulsbys’ barbers are still passed down to the Pharoah’s Horses barbers who rock haircuts ($45) and beard trims ($25) with ease. Regular service is already backed by glowing reviews online, but if you want extra care and attention spent on your hair, top up an additional $10 for consultations with their senior barbers.
12. Sultans
Affordable subsidiary of renowned luxury barbershop
Sultans is the affordable little sibling of the famed barber in Singapore, Sultans Of Shave, a luxurious barbershop concept with outlets in multiple locations like Holland Village, Novena, Katong, Robertson Quay, and Dunearn.

Services here are cheaper by almost half the amount charged at Sultans Of Shave, but you can still expect the same level of skills and care to detail. For example, a haircut will set you back $33, as compared to $59 at Sultans Of Shave. You can also save on shaving but opting for a shave and haircut combo, which will cost just $58.

13. LA Barbershop

With its red brick walls, framed posters, and kitschy ornaments, LA Barbershop grants a vintage charm reminiscent of the ‘60s era. Besides adding to the aesthetic, their leather chairs have a button to adjust the recline level according to your preference.

They initially began with smaller offerings by selling pomades and have since grown to include shaving tools and accessories, beard supplements, moustache wax, shampoo, and conditioners.
