Kallang Wave Mall upgrade
Opened in 2014, Kallang Wave Mall is about to get an upgrade that’ll make it way more than just your pre-concert pit stop.
From new sports facilities to lifestyle spaces, the mall is set to be transformed into an active hangout spot for sporty peeps, families, and even owners of furry friends.

If you’re coming in from Stadium MRT Station, the first thing that greets you at OCBC Square after the upgrades will be refreshed shopfronts and a massive LED screen that can pull off those trippy 3D anamorphic visuals.
End-of-trip facility for cyclists & 24-hour through-block link corridor
Joggers, cyclists, and skaters coming from the Stadium Park Connector and Kallang Basin no longer need to worry about taking the MRT home all sweaty and smelly. A new end-of-trip facility will introduce more bike parking, bag storage, and shower facilities for you to clean up and hit a pause or conclude your trip.
There’ll also be a new 24-hour through-block link corridor to improve connectivity within the area.
New indoor climbing wall

If someone asks you to describe the current Kallang Wave Mall, you’d probably mention the iconic rock climbing walls that sit right in the middle of the space.

This familiar feature operated by Climb Central isn’t going anywhere, but is getting a major upgrade. The revamped wall will have elements of real rock walls and stand at a towering 21m, making it one of Southeast Asia’s tallest. It will even extend about 10m above the mall’s roofline, so you can get rewarding views of the Kallang area upon reaching the peak, just like how it feels scaling a mountain.
And there’ll still be a bouldering area, so climbing enthusiasts can enjoy both types of adventure all in one place.
Rooftop padel courts & multi-sensory playscape

Here’s something to cater to the growing community of padel players in Singapore. You’ll no longer complain about the lack of padel courts in Singapore – the upgraded Kallang Wave Mall rooftop will have 6 sheltered, competition-ready courts so both new and serious players can enjoy a game or two.
On top of that, the current water playground on the rooftop will make way for a brand-new multi-sensory playscape, so your kids will have something to look forward to. This will include an interactive water play area with larger-than-life installations as well as a kinetic dry play zone.
ReFormd Group fitness facilities
ReFormd Group, a Singapore-born wellness brand, will also be moving into the mall. They’re bringing in a gym offering personal training services, a recovery centre with cold plunges and ice baths, as well as a retail section for all your workout essentials.
New Balance Run Hub

This one’s basically the new hangout spot for Singapore’s running crowd. The New Balance Run Hub is set to become a community flagship store. And it’s not just about shopping for gear – there’ll be runner-focused amenities, regular training sessions with experts and run specialists, and a full calendar of exciting running events.
Key Power Sports retail concept

Key Power Sports will be bringing in XTEP, a sports equipment company, as well as popular sportswear brands 2XU and Speedo. You can also look forward to regular performance improvement programmes like training sessions and sports clinics.
Pet community hub by Mutts & Mittons
Other than the sports offerings, Kallang Wave Mall is debuting a pet community hub by Mutts & Mittons, which will have grooming services, a pet pool, boarding and training facilities, and a bakery, on top of the usual pet retail section.
There might even be weekend programmes like dog spots and training classes, community pet walks, and competitions – your doggos will be in for a treat.
Upgraded alfresco dining area

If you’re sick of the same few food options pre-concert or post-workout, you’ll be glad to hear that there’ll be new cafes, restaurants, and bistros along the waterfront.
Who knows, this might be your family’s next regular dinner spot or a favourite place to catch up with friends over a meal.
Will Kallang Wave Mall continue to operate during the upgrading works?

Don’t fret – Kalling Wave Mall won’t close for the upgrading works. Works will be starting in phases from May 2026 and wrapping up by 2028, and the mall will still be open for you to visit throughout.
The old rooftop water playground, Splash-N-Surf, is currently closed to make way for the new rooftop multi-sensory playscape, expected to be completed in the 1st quarter of 2027. Singapore Sports Museum is also closed for enhancement works and will reopen in the 3rd quarter of 2027.
To stay updated on the scheduled works, refer to the Kallang Wave Mall website.
Look forward to new facilities at the upgraded Kallang Wave Mall
With so many exciting upgrades lined up, the temporary closures and wait won’t dampen our spirits. And besides, there are so many other things to do at The Kallang – you won’t run out of sports to play or places to hang out at.
