Guide to Johor Premium Outlets For Singaporeans To Shop For Lululemon, Nike & Fossil In Ringgit

Johor Premium Outlets – Outlet shopping 1 hour from SG

If you’ve travelled to the USA, chances are you’ve made a beeline for their outlet malls to splurge on luxury goods at a fraction of its original price. And although we have outlet malls in Singapore like Changi City Point and IMM, the experience just isn’t the same. The brands and selections are limited, and prices are still relatively high.

Well, you don’t have to hop on a plane to get to the other side of the world for the same discounts. Just across the border lies Johor Premium Outlets – an outdoor shopping centre housing more than 130 brands in fashion, accessories, and footwear.

It also helps that the current exchange rate works in your favour. So, take this opportunity to embrace your inner Crazy Rich Asian and treat yourself to some of these luxurious goodies.

The current exchange rate is S$1 = RM3.30 as of 13th December 2024.

Are the products sold at Johor Premium Outlets authentic?

In short, yes, the products sold at Johor Premium Outlets are 100% authentic. The reason why the goods sold at JPO such as luxury handbags, apparel, and other accessories are priced much lower than those you’d find back in Singapore in places like the Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands is simple.

Coach storeThe Coach store at JPO.

JPO retailers mostly sell leftover stock from past seasons, which means you might not be able to find the latest or more popular styles here. Some of the goods sold are also exclusively designed by brands to be sold at outlet stores, so the quality of these might not be up to par as compared to mainline products.

However, that does not mean they are counterfeit in any way, but you can try asking stores for certificates of authenticity for their products to set your mind at ease.

For even more discounts, the best time to head down to JPO is during festive seasons such as Christmas, Chinese New Year, and Hari Raya as the stores there will likely pile on even more promos and deals.

How much time do I need to spend at Johor Premium Outlets?

We recommend setting aside about 3-4 hours to shop and perhaps grab a bite at JPO; after all, it has a whopping 151 retail stores and food joints to check out. But, if you still have energy left in the tank, LEGOLAND Malaysia is just the place for some family fun that’s a 25-minute drive away.

If you’re looking for some R&R after your shopping sprees at JPO, Pulai Spring Resort is about 20 minutes away by car, where you can melt away at Balinese spa treatments which start at RM99. Similarly, Paradigm Mall is also not too far away for even more shopping; it even houses an indoor skating rink that’s perfect for cooling off.

Whether you’re in it for the durability or the status that comes with it, there’s no denying the obsession with branded goods Singaporeans have. Here, you’ll be spoilt for choice in picking out your next designer bag. Brands we saw include Italian fashion house Bottega Veneta (Suite 610) and women’s wear brand Tory Burch (Suite 328).

Fossil bagA similar bag from Fossil would cost approximately S$500. The price in JPO is a quarter of that in Singapore.

There are also brands like Fossil (Suite 428) and Fendi (Suite 708) for ladies looking for elegant bags. As for the men, head to outfits like Tommy Hilfiger (Suite 218) and Polo Ralph Lauren (Suite 604) that sell smart casual menswear like polo tees, khaki pants, and knit sweaters.

Coach bagsWith the discounts, some of these Coach bags cost less than S$400. The average price of such a bag in Singapore is S$795.

There was a price surge when we tried booking the Grab. The ride was RM44, which was still pretty affordable.
