Introducing Collectors Paradise, a specialty store selling pre-owned and vintage toy cars for avid collectors. Here, you can find discontinued or limited-edition designs from all around the world.

If you’re missing the box set of classic Avengers Hot Wheels, go on a quest to find them on the shelves lined with miniature tyres and windshields. The cars start from RM10 (~S3.24) and are even being sold in vending machines across JB, including one in Johor Bahru City Square.

If you’ve cleared out all the thrift stores in Singapore for Y2K designs to look like your favourite K-Pop idol, it’s time to cross the causeway and head to Label33Store.
You can find an array of baby tees and cargo pants along with branded items from Harley Davidson and Chicago Bulls, with tops starting at RM20 (~S$6.47) a piece or 3 for RM50 (~S$16.19), and jeans at RM30 (~S$9.71) with extra discounts for bundle buys too. Solematemy is a franchise of stores that sell second-hand shoes from brands like adidas, Converse, and Nike. The shoes are disinfected and quality-checked before being sold at baffling prices from just RM110 (~S$35.61).

Solematemy has 3 branches in JB, with their newly furbished store Solematemy 2.0 and Solematemy 3.0 Senai boasting a larger collection of brands and unique vintage finds, with an extensive range of Dr. Martens boots for sale on their Instagram as well.

8. Nostalism Vintage Store

One of the new kids on the thrifting scene is Nostalism Vintage Store, a funky archive of cult favourite streetwear brands like Thrasher alongside Y2K-famous labels like Juicy Couture and even luxury staples like Burberry at bargain prices.
You’ll find designer items at discounted rates here like RM50/2 pieces (~S$16.23), with the average price ranging from RM60 (~S$19.48) to RM90 (~S$29.22).

Tucked away on the second level of a shophouse, the store is also home to an in-house coffee pop-up called Dripped Coffee, serving filter coffee, teas, matcha lattes and pastries. If you need a break from all the retail therapy, grab their toffee nut latte or strawberry matcha (from RM11, ~S$3.57) and chill out in their cosy corner.

There can’t be a list of thrift stores in JB without the wondrous warehouses of Jalan Jalan Japan. This store contains second-hand items beyond just apparel and footwear, stretching to old Japanese board games, surfboards, and cycles.

You can find nearly everything at these stores at competitive prices and with constant promotions, with prices starting as low as RM1 (~S$0.28).

Largest thrift store in JB from RM5 (~S$1.40)
Following its namesake, Big Bundle is one of the largest thrift stores in JB, including a shoe section and its own vintage curated section.

You’ll find steals here with winter jackets starting at around RM5 (~S$1.40), tops going at RM10/4 pieces (~S$3.24) and denim jackets starting from RM10 (~S$3.24). Even the vintage collection, though pricier, has notable brands for collectors like Stüssy tees and 80s-inspired windbreakers from Adidas.

12. QQ Furniture

If you’ve heard about people stocking their homes up with sofas and shelves from second-hand furniture stores in JB, there’s one store that stands toe-to-toe with the others: QQ Furniture.
Though the location may look unassuming, this large warehouse with mountains of furniture has real treasures to be found like IKEA leather wing chairs and bed frames that cost RM330 (~S$106.82) and RM350 (~S$113.30) respectively.

Prices may vary depending on the types of furniture and the condition of the piece, so it helps to come prepared with research and the requirements of what you want. Plus, you can try bargaining for a better price too, something you can’t do at IKEA.
