There are also a couple of light installations at Singapore Garden Festival 2026 too, making a nighttime visit worthwhile. The ones by Chinese landscape designer Hu Shiyang, titled Known by Flowers, all shimmer beautifully under the cover of night. Split into 3 different zones, visitors are encouraged to interact with the artist’s work via movement, sound and touch.

Unless you’ve scored tickets to the preview or are a student attending the NE Show, you’re out of luck when it comes to catching the National Day 2026 rehearsals as they’ll be happening within the National Stadium. But, those looking in from the outside can still catch a glimpse of the rehearsal’s stunning fireworks show that will be going off over the Kallang Basin.
Based on past rehearsals, you’ll want to settle down at your fireworks viewing spot of choice around 7.30pm, because that’s when the first ones will be set off. Additional bursts will occur between 7.45pm and 8pm, and the largest pyrotechnics will light up the sky at around 8.30pm.

Our idea of a good buffet involves aggressively strategic plate-stacking and saying “just one more round” 5 times. So, the Flavours of Malaysia buffet showcase at Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore deserves a spot on our makan radar. This halal-certified buffet brings together chefs from Johor, Penang, Kuala Lumpur, Sabah, and Sarawak for a massive cross-country feast celebrating regional Malaysian cuisine.
Instead of the usual buffet staples, expect lesser-seen dishes rooted in family recipes and regional traditions, from Penang street food flavours to indigenous Bornean specialities from Sabah and Sarawak. There’ll also be live cooking stations where dishes are prepared fresh on the spot, adding a little culinary theatre to your carb-loading session.
