It is one of, if not the, largest anime events and conventions in Singapore, featuring over 700 writers and illustrators showcasing original works. In anticipation of Lady Gaga’s concert later this month, Lau Pa Sat has rolled out Gaga-themed bites, deals, and photo spots featuring her iconic set pieces. Hawker Mayhem is where Little Monsters will want to be at to grab pics with the singer’s famous 2.4m-tall “monster paw” sculpture and multi-hued psychedelic LED light installation at the entrance.
On 24th May 2025, from 7.30pm-9.30pm, a live band will also be playing Gaga’s tunes. Plus, get a chance to snag merch like temporary tattoos, face gems, and LED glowing glasses to get into the zone.

Beauty junkies, this one’s for you. The Beauty Vault will feature 21 premium brands this year, where visitors can catch new product launches and attend masterclasses. Brands on display will include Aesop, Diptyque, YSL, Chanel, Dior, and Givenchy.
Those who want to get hands-on can look forward to professional-led workshops teaching makeup techniques, fragrance layering, and even offering personalised colour analysis. If you’re not into the skincare scene, there’s plenty of other activities, such as floral bouquet arrangements and cocktail making.

As part of Singapore Heritage Fest 2025, the Indian Heritage Centre is celebrating it’s 10th anniversary with an Open House with free admission for all. This means visitors will get to savour free Indian bites, while kids get to take part in colouring and suncatcher painting.
Most importantly, there’s a 60-minute Soapbox Gallery Tour at 10.30am and 2pm we highly recommend attending. Storytellers with a theatre background will be seen bringing the gallery artefacts to life at this interactive kid-friendly tour. Plus, there’s 30 new artefacts on display that offer a glimpse into the traditions and culture of the Singaporean Indian community.

Those looking to spruce up their feed can swing by Gardens by the Bay to catch the annual Tulipmania exhibition in the Flower Dome. The annual showcase of stunning beds of tulips will take on a Türkiye-inspired theme this year, and will shine the spotlight on the diverse civilisations that shaped the country’s culture.
Apart from the 65,000 tulips spanning 35 varieties, highlights include a 6m-tall Trojan horse from the Battle of Troy, as well as a faithful recreation of the Göbekli Tepe, which is widely considered to be the world’s oldest temple.

In anticipation of the Nintendo Switch 2 launching later this year, there’s a Nintendo pop-up at Jewel Changi for a limited time. Fans of Super Mario, Animal Crossing, and The Legend of Zelda will find merch from these games that previously could only be found at the stores in Japan. The line-up includes t-shirts, stationery, plushies, toys, keychains, and homeware.

Although it’s more of a store, the Hello Singapore! pop-up exhibition also displays artworks by a London-based illustrator known for vibrant sculptures and prints. This is a fun one as it mostly features cute animals and toys, proudly displayed at Heartware Store & Gallery in Joo Chiat.

More than a hundred programmes are happening throughout the month, across the island for Singapore HeritageFest 2025. The highlight is HOMEGROUND – a free exhibition at Gardens by the Bay, with cultural performances, workshops, local food booths, and artisanal retailers. Each room portrays how our nation fell when the British surrendered via displays that use art and technology to create sounds and visuals.

You can’t quite go wrong with a mellow museum date, so make your way to the New Art Museum Singapore to catch its latest flavour of the month, Wonders of Nature. Like its name suggests, your camera roll will be blessed with a whole lotta green, and will showcase art pieces by 8 international artists such as Yayoi Kusama and Go Yayanagi.
Highlights include a huggable cacti inflatable nestled within a ball pit and an interactive Obliteration Room where you can “vandalise” artwork with stickers.

National Gallery Singapore presents City of Others: Asian Artists in Paris – a new exhibition that brings to light the interactions and influences between the local and migrant artists in the French capital. Explore themes of identity, belonging, cultural exchange, and creativity from the POV of Asian artists who exhibited their work in Paris while living in the city during the 1920s-1940s.
Over 200 artworks including paintings, sculptures, and lacquerware will be on display, spread across 3 galleries.

The visionary Dutch fashion designer brings her creations to Singapore with an exhibition called Iris van Herpen: Sculpting the Senses. Famously known for pioneering the use of 3D printing to create fashionable pieces, she blends science and art in her creations. She has brought over 140 looks and accessories, drawing inspiration from the natural world.

Even if you aren’t privy to the world of musicals you’ve probably heard the name Andrew Lloyd Webber. One of his most famous productions, The Phantom of the Opera, will be showing in Singapore soon, featuring a cast of 37 performers. Set in 19th century Paris, the haunting love story revolves around a disfigured musical genius who falls obsessively in love with a young soprano.

The Singapore Symphony Orchestra Open House is making its annual return with a variety of performances and activities for music lovers of all ages. Head down to check out all the happenings – from backstage tours to educational workshops and music performances.
For instance, The Music Around You exhibition has free viewing for all and comprises a series of interactive musical installations around the venue. Collect all the stamps at the exhibits to bring home a secret SSO gift, limited to the first 200 redemptions.
Naturally, you can also enjoy musical performances while you’re at the open house. The SOTA Malay Fusion Ensemble and Singapore Symphony Choruses will be performing at the atrium for free.
