The Disney Adventure cruise has been taking over many of our social algorithms the past couple of months, and we’re here to tell you that it’s not going anywhere. They’ve just announced a 3-month collaboration with Sentosa – A Magical Island Adventure: Let’s Set Sail with Disney Cruise, and here’s everything you can look forward to.
A Magical Island Adventure: Let’s Set Sail with Disney Cruise starts on 24th June 2026, and will run until 20th September 2026. Most of the event will be taking place on Sentosa, around the vicinity of the Central Beach Bazaar that’s just a short walk from the island’s Beach Station.
Although the event’s installations and activities are mostly free for all, there is a ticketed section at the Southernmost Point of Continental Asia, which will be extending its opening hours till 10pm.
You’ll need a Magical Island Adventure Pass ($10/adult, $8/child) to access the Isle of Adventure which opens from 7pm to 10pm daily, at the Southernmost Point. These passes also come with a Sentosa x Disney Cruise Line postcard, and Sentosa Islanders get 15% off. You can purchase the Magical Island Adventure Pass via Sentosa’s website.
A majority of the Magical Island Adventure’s offerings are centered around its stunning light installations featuring beloved Disney characters. As such, we recommend arriving around 5.30pm to 6pm snap pics during golden hour, and watch them illuminate the night once dusk falls.
This first-of-its-kind island takeover has been designed as a day-to-night experience that visitors to Sentosa can enjoy, with light, sound, movement and environment all coming together for an absolute sensorial treat.
If you remember how the island was transformed into a Wicked-themed paradise last year ahead of the sequel, this year Disney takes it to the next level, with the entire island and all its precincts featuring beloved Disney characters and stories.
So, if you haven’t heard, the Disney Adventure cruise is headlined by its 7 themed areas: Disney Imagination Garden, Disney Discovery Reef, Town Square, Wayfinder Bay, San Fransokyo Street, Toy Story Place, and Marvel Landing.
At the heart of it all lies the 3.5m-tall Magical Compass, which serves as a central hub of sorts for you to get your bearings and plan your next steps; don’t be surprised if you clock thousands of them, as there’s still much to see.
For a handy checklist to make sure you don’t miss out on all the sights, collect a free Adventure Stamp card at any Sentosa Guest Services Counters or the Ticketing and Redemption Kiosk at Palawan Beach.
You’ll be able to emboss stamps onto the card at various checkpoints around the island; collect at least 8 stamps, and you can redeem a Disney-themed sticker set. There are also checkpoints located at certain attractions on Sentosa, like AltitudeX and Skypark Sentosa by AJ Hackett, where you can enjoy perks upon collecting your stamps there.
For starters, the Sentosa Express will see its trains wrapped in decals featuring Captain Mickey and Captain Minnie, welcoming guests as they board at VivoCity to their Magical Island Adventure on Sentosa.
For an alternative mode of transport, hop on the Singapore Cable Car; their cabins have also been given a new coat of paint that sports recognisable Disney characters. The interior of the cabins was also refreshed to go with the new look, but in all honesty, it wasn’t as impressive as the ones featured in the ongoing Pokémon Day-to-Night Adventure experience.
To fill up your camera roll even more, there are also photo spots found at the cable car stations. The one at Siloso Point station had one themed after various female leads in Disney films, which is sure to delight your household’s little princess.
Speaking of Disney’s damsels and photo ops, swing by Sentosa Sensoryscape, and you’ll find that the Tactile Trellis and the walkway leading up to it have been given a makeover. There are light displays featuring silhouettes of Disney princesses like Snow White, Belle, Jasmine, Cinderella, and Mulan here. These are designed to reflect the characters’ actual height, so feel free to see how you measure up to their queenly proportions.
Visit Palawan Beach in the next 3 months, and you’ll find it done up with installations themed after the ship’s beloved San Fransokyo Street, Toy Story Place, and Marvel Landing. Most of all, you can’t miss the 6m-tall inflatable anchor installation, with sand-blasted figures of Captains Mickey and Minnie.
First up, San Fransokyo Street. Amidst its mishmash of Japan and American-inspired aesthetics, you literally can’t miss the impressive 6m-tall Baymax inflatable that looks as squishy as its movie counterpart. For a tangible memento of your visit, nearby stands a Disney Fun pop-up store filled to the brim with merch.
You’ll be able to say hi to Woody and pals over at Toy Story Place. They’ve been reimagined as oversized bath toys; there’s one of the sheriff himself, along with his cowgirl companion Jessie and Buzz Lightyear, who’s poised to mow his enemies down with his play-pretend laser blasts.
We’ve also got to give a shout to the lil’ Groot Galaxy Spin installation sat near the entrance of the beach. It’s fitted with a revolving disco ball, so be sure to bust a funky move alongside the sentient sprout.
Meanwhile, another superhero cameo can be found within HyperDrive. Wonderfully air-conditioned, the Marvel Landing installation houses a realistic-looking Iron Man sculpture, and although Tony’s not here for autographs, feel free to snap away with the iconic suit of armour.
Once the sun dips beyond the horizon, that’s when the Magical Island Adventure experience truly springs to life. There’s no better testament to that than the Isle of Adventure, as this ticketed area at the Southernmost Point of Continental Asia is where you’ll find a Disney Discovery Reef-inspired haven and the Moana-fronted Wayfinder’s Bay.
Even the mere journey of getting to the fabled isle promises more IG-worthy moments, as you’ll have to cross a bridge shimmering with fairy lights; mist is even spewed periodically from the bottom, making the walk across even more ethereal. Don’t forget to look to your sides too; there are glow-in-the-dark stingrays etched on the waters’ surface.

Upon setting foot on the isle, you’ll come across Wayfinder’s Bay first, where you’re greeted with a sculpture of Moana and Maui inviting you to strike a pose beside them.
But the magic truly unfolds further in, when you traverse a lightly forested path that pulses alive with lasers and lights. In the middle of a clearing lies the Heart of Te Fiti installation. Although its curse-lifting capabilities are just a work of fiction, place your hand on it to feast your eyes on a very real light show.
The picture-perfect moments don’t end there, as the Disney Discovery Reef is nearby. It’s the “underwater” domain of The Little Mermaid cast, and it’s adorned with an abundant garden of artificial sea anemones that sway and glow splendidly in the dark. In one corner, there’s a cut-out of Ariel and Flounder to capture a moment with.
Outside, the lovable Experiment 626 AKA Stitch lies in wait wearing a toothy smile. For some interactive fun, splatter on a motif of your own on the Sentosa Rock – simply scan a QR code, and you’ll be able to decorate the otherwise plain rock with light projections of your liking.
For a smidgen of that Disneyland experience, there are character Meet & Greet sessions to attend too. Held at Palawan Beach, these are completely FOC, and they’re happening at 3pm, 4pm, 5.30pm, and 6.30pm on the following dates:
The queue will open 30 minutes before each session, where Meet & Greet passes will be distributed. Each pass admits 1 family or a group of up to 4. Once it’s your turn, you can hand your camera or phone to a crew member who’ll assist with the photo taking.
No event is complete without merch, and at A Magical Island Adventure: Let’s Set Sail with Disney Cruise, they’ve got a whole collection of goodies.
Firstly, you can snag a free Disney Cruise Line-themed keychain when you post a photo or video on your socials with the tags #magicalislandadventure and #discoversentosa. Once you’ve done that, head over to the Beach Station Guest Enquiry Lounge or Redemption Kiosk at Palawan Beach to redeem your freebie.
Also, an eco bag and tumbler are available for purchase for $15 after spending at least $20 at AltitudeX and Skypark Sentosa by AJ Hackett respectively. Finally, those who spend a minimum of $15 at the Sentosa Shop or Singapore Cable Car Gift Shop can purchase a microfibre towel at $20.
And for UOB Cardholders, spending $60 with your UOB Card gets you a blind box Glow-in-the-Dark Medallion Pin.
There are loads more goodies and partner offers that you can find on the Magical Island Adventure website. Plus, if you’ve got a verified booking for the Disney Adventure cruise anytime in 2026, there are perks for you too!
