You Can Send A Postcard From The Southernmost Tip Of Continental Asia Right Here In Singapore

Postal Service at Southernmost Point – Sentosa Island

In a world where sending a text takes less than a second and emails teleport themselves across the globe, writing and mailing something by hand almost feels unnecessary. And yet, there’s something oddly comforting about slowing things down a little – like picking out a postcard, scribbling a note, and sending it off into the world.

There’s even a niche hobby called postcrossing where people send postcards to strangers across the world and wait for one to arrive in return.

If that sounds like your kind of slow-living dream, you can try it right here in Singapore via the Postal Service at Southernmost Point – from literally the southernmost tip of continental Asia that’s located on Sentosa Island.

What is the Southernmost Point of Continental Asia?

The Southernmost Point of Continental Asia is a geographic landmark tucked away at the tip of Palawan Beach, and it’s linked to the mainland by a suspension bridge. Cross it, and you’ll find yourself standing at what’s considered the southernmost tip of continental Asia – a brag-worthy fact that will make your visit feel extra fun.

Don’t just linger at ground level, as there are scenic lookout towers you can climb up for panoramic views of the surrounding sea.

The area is open daily from 9am to 6.30pm – if you can, time your visit for golden hour to snap some IG-worthy photos.

Don’t forget to include the essentials, like your recipient’s name, address, country, and postal code.

Drop your postcard into the posting box

Once you’ve finished writing your postcard, it’s time for the final step – attaching the postage stamp and dropping it off at the posting box. Take note that you’ll need to walk back across the suspension bridge to Palawan Beach, where the posting box is located just beside the postcard vending machine.

And because it’s managed by SingPost, you can actually drop any postcard or mail here. But if you’re doing this for the full experience, we recommend at least making your way to the booth at the Southernmost Point to get that embossed print first.
