Soul Coffee at KINEX
Coffee addicts would know that the bar for Singapore’s cafe scene is at an all time high, thanks to the myriad of concept cafes popping up every so often. If you’re looking for a new and unique haunt to explore, check out Soul Coffee – a whimsical new addition that can perhaps only be described as ArtScienceMuseum-meets-Joe. Cuppa Joe that is – not Joe mama, we’re beyond that.

Immersive underwater and seasonal projections

While modern and minimalist cafes are a serial cafe hopper’s number one weakness, anyone would be swept away by the idyllic interior of Soul Coffee. The visuals are everything here, from a smokey entryway to large floor-to-ceiling projections covering almost every inch of wall.

Expect an ever-changing ambience – one moment you’ll be immersed in a dreamy springtime land and the next, it’s autumn galore. Every once in a while, the scene will also switch to one of an underwater world – a perfect alternative for those who missed the S.E.A. Aquarium “underwater” dining experience.

Order a perfectly-timed pour over from an AI robot barista

Not just a good-looking facade, the cafe also has snazzy AI features – like The Terminator if you will. AI robot George Hillary is the star of the show here and he’s programmed to brew a mean cup of Pourover Coffee ($9.90).

Other drinks are also available from the kitchen including Espresso from a decently-priced $3.50 to Iced Coffee at $8.90. Soy, oat and almond milk are available for lactose-intolerant folks.

If you aren’t in need of a perk-me-up, swing for a decadent Mocktail ($7.50) instead. Those intrigued by astrology will love that these are themed after the 12 horoscopes.
