Most Singaporeans think of DBS PayLah! as a trusty contactless payment method or a way to transfer money to friends after a meal, but we’ve uncovered 4 PayLah! hacks to show you how to make the most of the app. These tips will help you save money and redeem rewards in your daily life, from IRL dining and retail to online shopping and food delivery.
1. Earn up to 20% cashback by linking FavePay & ShopBack
Many of us have probably seen the familiar pink Fave icon when shopping and paying for F&B, but few are privy to the fact that you can combine PayLah! with FavePay to settle dining bills and retail purchases.
Doing so will allow you to stack your rewards and earn up to 20% cashback. The process is simple:
- Click “Scan” when you’re on the PayLah! app homepage
- Select “Fave”, then scan the respective merchant’s FavePay QR
- Key in the amount you need to pay, and checkout
Linking your Fave account to PayLah! also ensures that your Fave cashback doesn’t get lost in the cyber abyss. To check your cashback earnings directly on the PayLah! app, click on the FavePay icon on the homepage and voilà – all credited to your account and ready to be used to offset future purchases.
On the topic of linking accounts, there are also cashback rewards from ShopBack to take advantage of. Similarly, select “ShopBack Go” on the PayLah! homepage, key in your ShopBack details, and you’ll be well on your way to collecting even more cashback.
While the cashback amount varies across merchants, there is generally no minimum spending needed and no maximum on the cashback amount earned, unless otherwise stated.
2. Save up to $3 on Golden Village movie tickets, including Gold Class
With plenty of blockbuster movies set to be released in 2022, you’ll want to save your bank account from the costs of movie ticket purchases to come.
Those planning to splurge on Golden Village Gold Class movie tickets for a special occasion can consider going for a movie date during the first half of the week, as you’ll be able to redeem $3 off your tickets with PayLah!.
Simply select the Golden Village (GV) icon on the PayLah! homepage and it’ll redirect you to the GV website for booking. Choose any film that’s screening on Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays from now till 30 June 2022 and you’ll qualify for the $3 discount.

3. Shave $5 off Shopee purchases

The next time you need to scratch your shopping itch, mark your calendar for Thursday to score $5 off your total bill. Simply add your PayLah! details to the Shopee app and make your purchase using PayLah! as your payment mode. This way, you’ll feel less guilty when checking out.
This promo applies to the first 180 customers who cart out after 12pm, and will take place every Thursday from now till 29 December 2022. You’ll have plenty of time to use the discount, and can even schedule small weekly retail therapy sessions to look forward to.
4. Enjoy free delivery on foodpanda
