For the budding botanists, HortPark is the place to be for the NParks’ regular series, Gardeners’ Day Out. You can join a free Edibles Discovery Tour at 9am to learn about plants you can actually eat, or browse the marketplace for some kid-friendly gardening kits. 4. Not So Little Fair

Think of the Not So Little Fair as a massive playground-meets-showroom. Happening at Suntec Convention Centre, this fair is designed for kids aged 14 and below. The biggest draw for the kids will definitely be the Kiztopia giant bouncy castle, but for parents, the real value is the $30 All-Access Pass. This pass lets your child try out over 40 different trial classes from top names like MADDspace for performing arts, ROBOROBO for robotics, and KTMA Academy for martial arts.

6. River Hongbao 2026

You can’t talk about February without River Hongbao. Celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2026, this year is themed around the Year of the Horse. The Gardens by the Bay will be filled with massive, hand-crafted lanterns that make for incredible family photos. For the kids, the Amusement Rides at the carnival section are the main event, alongside a Food Street where you can find all the classic pasar malam snacks.
The nightly fireworks at 8pm at The Meadow are the cherry on top. Since admission is free, it’s a great budget-friendly night out, though you might want to prepare some cash for the carnival games.

7. Istana Open House

The Istana Open House on 22nd February is a special Chinese New Year edition, and it’s basically the ultimate picnic spot. While the Main Building is currently undergoing restoration, the massive grounds are open for the kiddos to run wild on the manicured lawns.
Look forward to live band performances, multicultural dances, and activity booths to keep the little ones occupied. 8. Chingay Parade 2026

Singapore’s iconic street parade is back, and this year’s theme of Chingay Parade 2026 is all about making your wish. The highlight is a brand-new 360-degree ring-shaped stage at the F1 Pit Building, meaning there isn’t a bad seat in the house. It’s a total sensory explosion with over 3,000 performers, illuminated floats, and multicultural costumes that will have the kids staring in awe.
It’s one of those must-see once events that truly showcases our local spirit. Since it’s an outdoor evening event, it’s much cooler than a midday outing, but do book your tickets early as Chingay seats usually sell out pretty quickly. BTW, you can use your SG Culture Pass to buy tickets.

Located in Sentosa, Dopamine Land is an “interactive museum of happiness” that feels like walking through a Pinterest board. It features 9 themed rooms designed to trigger the release of dopamine through sensory play. 10. KidsFest! 2026

KidsFest! 2026 is the ultimate event for bookworms under 10. They are bringing several beloved children’s books to life on stage, including The Gruffalo’s Child and The 91-Storey Treehouse. The shows are short – usually under an hour – highly interactive, and designed to keep even the most restless toddlers engaged.

11. Mofusand displays across CapitaLand malls

The Mofusand holiday takeover brings adorable themed zones, including Fruit Meow, Board Shark, and Donut & Coffee, plus the return of the giant 8-metre Donut Meow inflatable and a photo contest across 17 CapitaLand malls. Families can meet the first-ever Mofusand mascot outside Japan by redeeming a photo pass via the CapitaStar app.

National Gallery Singapore’s massive Gallery Children’s Biennale art festival is specifically designed to be baby-friendly. The theme “Tomorrow We’ll Be…” focuses on hope and inclusivity, with interactive exhibits that encourage kids to touch, play, and even add their own art to the walls.
Look out for the Kindness Garden, where kids can explore oversized flowers through different senses; and Dance Dance Chromatics, where their movements trigger changing colours and shapes on a digital screen.
Plus, right now you can get free stickers when you collect stamps at 8 different artworks. Simply redeem them from the Tours & Programmes counter at level 1 once you’ve completed the stamp rally.

13. Gundam Base Singapore
Newly opened store

The newly opened Gundam Base Singapore at Jewel Changi is a dream come true for fans of the iconic Japanese franchise. But even if your kid doesn’t know what a “Mobile Suit” is, they’ll likely be mesmerised by the 1.8-metre tall RX-78 statue at the entrance. The store isn’t just about buying expensive kits; it’s a tribute to the Gunpla, or Gundam plastic model, culture.

Westies have a new weekend ritual. Bulim Park in Jurong West just opened its first section, and the star of the show is a massive, 3-level red net playground. It’s built under a “Sky Corridor” bridge, meaning it’s completely sheltered from the sun and rain. There’s also a nature playgarden nearby with balancing logs and rock-climbing mounds for kids who prefer to stay closer to the ground.

15. My Little Pony Petals of Friendship
