While this year’s PL and Champions League season concluded back in May, the football drought won’t be here to stay for long, as we’ve got the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026 to huddle around the telly for.
With so many matches to keep up with, juggling pricey subscriptions can be a headache. So here’s a breakdown of where to watch football matches for free in Singapore without breaking the bank. BTW, some of these spots also screen live matches outside of the World Cup, so bookmark them when the Prem kicks off once again in August.

Although the nation remains divided on whether Lau Pa Sat’s an appropriate dinner spot for a first date, it’s gearing up to be a great place to catch some footballing action this World Cup season. From 12th June to 20th July 2026, they’ll be wheeling in 2 huge 130-inch screens to livestream World Cup matches for diners and footie fans alike.

Since some of the matches will be taking place in the wee hours of the morning, some of the stalls here have taken the liberty to open 24/7. As such, you can expect to load up on local delights like Hokkien mee, chicken rice, Teochew porridge, and drinks to trudge you through boring nil-nil scorelines at 3am.

It feels like yesterday when the Lion City Sailors made history by advancing to the AFC Champions League Two final for the 1st time, cheered on by a chorus of “Ole Allez Allez” as hundreds of residents gathered in Bishan Community Club (CC) to watch the match.
If you missed your chance to get a front seat on the action, don’t worry – the CC occasionally screens high-profile matches such as Premier League games, and of course, World Cup matches. You don’t even have to sign up to reserve a spot; simply don your favourite team’s colours and show up with your kakis for a cracking time.
If you don’t stay anywhere close to Bishan CC, fret not. Community Centres all over Singapore will be screening World Cup matches too; simply look up the one closest to you on the People’s Association website to see where you can pop by for your dose of football.
Stay up-to-date on the next screenings through Bishan CC’s Facebook.
You don’t need to be a SAFRA member to revel in the electrifying energy of their Football Bonanza 2026. It’s happening at all SAFRA clubhouses concurrently from 12th June to 20 July 2026, and each venue has its own set of football-themed activities lined up to get you in the World Cup mood.
For instance, SAFRA Tampines has soccer trials to try your hand at, a Paint-A-Ball Community fundraiser’s happening at SAFRA Punggol, and take part in SAFRA Yishun’s Guess The Player quiz, where winners can walk home with a nifty football flag scarf.

As for live screenings of the World Cup, they’ll be live-streaming all of the competition’s 104 matches on a giant LED screen, but you’ll want to come early to chope a seat. You don’t even have to be a SAFRA Member to sit in for both the activities or the screenings; apart from select activities, they’re free, and pretty much open to all.

Everyone knows Jewel is the place to be when it comes to shopping and dining at the airport, so you’d be forgiven if you missed this lesser-known hangout corner in Basement 2 of Terminal 3. ST3PS is a 188sqm, amphitheatre-style communal space fitted with an ultra-high-definition 6m by 3.5m LED screen. Talk about an upgrade from your home TV.
Besides daily screenings of family-friendly movies on weekdays, you can catch occasional streams of live football matches on weekends during major seasons. If the match falls on a Saturday, you might want to check out the weekly live performances between 6.30pm and 7pm, including family-friendly magic shows, musical performances, and comedy gigs.
To see what’s showing before you make your way over, check the ST3PS weekly programme schedule.
Pro tip: Skip the crowds and keep an eye out for the TV lounges in the transit areas across Terminal 1 to 4 to catch live sporting events, alongside your favourite shows and TV programmes.

Home to the Tampines Rovers Football Club, Our Tampines Hub (OTH) is a hotspot for football watchers and players alike. Besides serving as a makeshift theatre for screening Premier League and World Cup matches, the Level 1 Festive Plaza also houses the Festive Arts Theatre, a 400-seat venue that has previously hosted star-studded football exhibitions featuring English Premier League legends and Singapore national team players.
You say you support local, but OTH takes it to another level. They’ve consistently featured homegrown talent, airing the Tampines Rovers’ face-off against Bangkok United in the 1st leg of the AFC Champions League Two Quarter-Finals, and serving as the central venue for Singapore Premier League (SPL) matches last year.
Fun fact: Champions League star players Borussia Dortmund and 1990 World Cup Winner Karl-Heinz Riedle recently paid a visit to OTH in a meet-and-greet session. A lucky giveaway winner even got to walk away with exclusive prizes, including a signed Dortmund jersey. Guess that’s another point for the Easties.
Keep up with new updates on screenings and in-house events via OTH’s Facebook.
Like OTH, One Punggol has its own large LED screen at the Level 1 Celebration Square, where it screens sporting events like the 2025 SEA Games and the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026. Past screenings here have featured major matches like the ASEAN Mitsubishi Electric Cup Semi-Finals between Vietnam and Singapore, and the 2024 UEFA EURO.
Those craving a quick bite will be happy to know there’s a 2-story hawker centre just a short walk from Celebration Square that closes late at 10pm, perfect for those mid-game cravings.
Be sure to check One Punggol’s Facebook to know when the next football screening is.
If you or your family are serving NS, count yourself lucky, because you can skip the sports bar crowd and catch matches across various HomeTeam NS clubhouses with extra benefits.
From the Singapore vs Hong Kong’s AFC Asian Cup 2027 Qualifier match to the 2024 UEFA EURO, heartlanders got to tune into the action from clubhouses at Bedok Reservoir, Bukit Batok, and Khatib. To top it off, HomeTeamNS Members get extra matchday perks like free-flow snacks and drinks, and limited free parking.
While they aren’t currently showing any matches, it’s worth following HomeTeam NS’s Facebook page since they may just resume screenings closer to the World Cup in June 2026.

Of course, ActiveSG’s getting in on the game too. They’ll be screening a total of 7 matches across 5 facilities, which includes the Bukit Canberra, Sengkang, Pasir Ris, Clementi, and Choa Chu Kang Sports Centres.
As for what matches you can expect to catch, the highly -anticipated 3rd and 4th place playoffs and the finals are on the cards, as well as group stage games such as South Korea vs the Czech Republic and Australia vs Turkey, to name a few. All of these matches will also be taking place during the day, bar the finals, so you won’t have to change your sleep schedule to head down.

This isn’t your typical sports bar. Established by former Manchester United stars Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs, and previously known as Cafe Football, ARFC has been a long-time favourite among footie fans since 2017. Football watch parties have been a staple for the restaurant-cum-football club across its 2 outlets at Woodleigh and East Coast Park.
Customers can walk in without reservations to catch a game as long as viewing sessions haven’t been fully booked. No minimum spend is required, except for midnight matches. Upcoming screenings include FIFA World Cup 2026 opening games on 12th-13th June. Do note that there’s a minimum spend of $30++/pax for midnight matches.

Beyond the World Cup and Premier League series, they’ve also spotlighted the Football Association Challenge Cup fixtures featuring Chelsea, Arsenal, Man United, Liverpool, Mansfield Town, West Ham, Bournemouth, and Sunderland.
You can even book a 7-a-side football pitch at their Woodleigh outlet for a quick warm-up game. Otherwise, head down earlier to try their mains, enjoy their happy hour available until 7pm, and tune into live performances.
As ARFC is one of the more active screeners on this list, it’s a good idea to follow their Instagram or Facebook so you never miss out.
Dust off your scarves, pull out those jerseys from the back of your closet, and revive that old group chat, because you’ll want to start planning where to hold your watch parties early.
While it’s still too soon to know whether these spots will be screening the FIFA World Cup 2026, it might help to keep a running list just in case you need to register for a spot in advance.
