Ditch the asphalt roads and take part in the National Vertical Marathon 2026, happening on 24th May 2026. As its name suggests, you’ll be tasked with ascending the towering Guoco Midtown on the fringes of the city centre, via the building’s stairs, of course.

Don’t worry, you won’t have to climb 42km worth of stairs; instead, you’ll have to scale about 30 floors, which roughly translates to around 750 steps. Compared to a full-on marathon, it might sound easy on paper, but it’s been said to be quite intense as it’s essentially a HIIT workout that lasts for over 15 minutes with barely any breaks.

The sheer distance runners of Ultra Trail Singapore will be covering is no joke. They’ve got a race which spans over 165km, which is meant to stretch over 3 days; on day 2, runners will have to clock a monumental 80km. However, they also have more “beginner-friendly” races, but even these will have you running a minimum of 20km within 5 hours.

Clementi Forest.

But at least the views will be worth it – we think. You’ll be jogging with the backdrop of Singapore’s most scenic nature reserves and parks, such as Rifle Range Nature Park, Bukit Batok Nature Park, and Clementi Forest; perfect to distract you from the fact that you’ve got dozens of kilometres left to go.

Keeping in trend with most of the other races on this list, the Great Eastern Women’s Run has quite a few categories to consider, for maximum inclusion. There’s also the 100m Princess Dash that’s perfect for energetic little ones.

The Great Eastern Women’s Run 2026 is set to take place on 1st November 2026. Although most of its other details have yet to be announced, the freebies that come with signing up for their runs, especially the Mummy & Me ones, have been pretty attractive. Past year’s race entitlements included Cinnamoroll-themed goodies such as race bibs and finisher medals, and even a fluffy bag that sports the adorable pup’s droopy ears.

It was rebranded as the BYD Singapore International Marathon since 2026. 9. ASICS META : Time : Trials Thailand 2026

Aimed to help runners beat their PBs under structured conditions

If you’re looking to smash your PBs, then ASICS META : Time : Trials Thailand 2026 is one of the best places to help you do it. It’s a 10km-long performance race happening sometime in September 2026 in Bangkok, specifically designed to help runners push their limits and to achieve new personal records.

Image credit: ASICS META : Time : Trials

Firstly, it’s a single, continuous 10km course rather than loops, so runners can focus on maintaining a constant pace and cadence. Plus, you can try out ASICS’ range of performance-focused running shoes like the METASPEED on race day itself in hopes of shaving a few seconds off your timing.
