Westies, this latest opening is sure to excite you, whether you play sports or otherwise. If you haven’t heard, The ARK Sports Village is now open, and it’s said to be the largest of its kind in town, with a full selection of pickleball and futsal courts, and even a gymnasium.
Here’s the lowdown on this sports venue, found under a flyover so homebodies, you’re not going to be disturbed by all the noise at all.
Previously an unused plot of land under Gali Batu Flyover, The ARK Sports Village is the result of a collaboration between Singapore Land Authority (SLA), Sport Singapore, and ARK.
And if you were wondering where Gali Batu Flyover is, it’s connected to Kranji Expressway (KJE), just a 7-minute walk from Segar LRT Station. This, in turn, is 3 stops from Bukit Panjang MRT Station, on the Downtown Line (DTL).
Now for the important stuff: there are not 1, but 5 pickleball courts, as well as 4 futsal courts here. Read: sheltered from the rain and the sun, so you won’t have to worry about freckles or having to cancel your game thanks to a sudden downpour.
That’s not all – The ARK Sports Village operates from 8am to 10pm daily, and is fully equipped with lights, which means you can book all those after-work games with your kakis, and play in well-lit comfort.
And for fitness junkies in the Bukit Panjang ‘hood, there’s more good news. BFT Bangkit is now open here too – the biggest BFT gym in Singapore. For those unfamiliar with the BFT concept, its name is an acronym for Body Fit Training, offering progressive training programmes suited to people of all fitness levels.
Booking a futsal court at The ARK Sports Village starts from $60/hour, whereas pickleball courts are from $30/hour. According to their website, they’re working on coming up with packages, which potentially will bring the hourly rates down.
To celebrate the opening, The ARK Futsal is offering 20% off your session for January 2026 only. Simply use the code <ARKASV> at checkout to enjoy this promotion.
If you’re new to the BFT game, consider signing up for a trial package at BFT Bangkit, where you’ll get 6 classes for $60.
We mean it when we say it’s great news for players and non-players alike. Players, you now have even more options when it comes to booking those notoriously difficult-to-book courts, and non-players, it’s time to pray for more of such courts outside of housing estates so you won’t be bothered by the sounds.
