Stargazing in Singapore – intimate dates under the moonlight

A full-on dressed-up V-day can be an amazing date for some but for those who just treasure comfort and their significant other’s company, stargazing could just be the date for you.

For all you shutterbugs, here are some tips for you to get your picture-perfect shots of the night sky:

  • Plan your stargazing date around the weather conditions and the PSI levels.
  • Use a stargazing app (like Skyview Lite) to track down the stars and the Milky Way.
  • Set your camera to manual exposure and experiment with Aperture: f/2.8 and Shutter Speed: 5 seconds to get the clearest pics – don’t go over the base ISO to adjust brightness.
  • Eliminate warm tones by setting a custom white balance.
  • The longer you expose your camera (10-30 seconds), the longer you can capture some amazing star trails.

Spend your dressed-down Valentine’s sprawling on picnic mats with your loved one as you make wishes upon the stars this Friday night.
