Indoor playground at IKEA Tampines
Let’s be honest: at IKEA, kids don’t care that you’re torn between the Kallax cabinets and the Billy bookcase. All they want is to run around, jump on mattresses, play with toys, and eat meatballs.
You, however, deserve a productive furniture shopping trip that doesn’t end up with you leaving with a toilet brush and a floor lamp, none of which you need. That’s why we’re here to tell you some good news: IKEA Tampines has finally reopened its indoor playground where you can drop your kids off while you shop.
Fairytale theme with multi play zones
TBH, we’ve never been more excited about going to IKEA with the kids now that this fairytale-themed playground has reopened.

Let your little humans roam free around a fully padded play area that resembles a little forest: there are pine trees, a toadstool hut, a pond-like ball pit filled with blue and red balls, and soft wooden logs for the kids to clamber on.

If running and climbing aren’t your kids’ cup of tea, let them know there’s a reading zone with dozens of books and a colouring corner where crayons and sheets await.
1 hour drop-off service for children
The playground looks so fun and you’ll wish you were a child again because sadly, only kids are allowed to enter. So, drop the children off and carry on with your to-buy list asap.

Here’s a catch: although the playground is free, each play session is only for 1 hour. You’ll need to register when you arrive, get a queue number, and brave the line, especially if you’re here in the weekend. But it’ll be worth the wait, for both you and your kids.
Take note that the kids will have to be at least 90cm in order to go in.
Visit IKEA Tampines indoor playground
One of the best parts about going to IKEA is taking a snack break and eating a plate of Swedish meatballs. But now, you can even take a kids break by dropping them off at the fairytale-themed playground so you can hopefully shop in peace.
Just promise us you’ll show up to IKEA with a solid plan. An hour will fly by and the last thing you want is scrambling the shelves at the market hall with crying kids, again.
