This shop in Paya Lebar is easily mistaken as a new cafe or restaurant to the untrained eye. There’s already a photo spot before you enter. The faded signboard, rustic gates, and surrounding plants all make for an IG-worthy storefront. Once you’re done snapping your OOTDs here, walk through the metal gates and you’ll be transported to the early ‘90s.

Chances are, you’ll be greeted by the shop’s friendly owners – Dominic and Cynthia. Feel free to have a chat with them; they’re known to be knowledgeable about all things coffee and are quick to share with visitors. Find out how and why Cynthia curated the coffee bean selections, and how Dominic runs the place as a second-generation owner. It’s all pretty interesting.

Then, take a quick lap around the place and you’ll notice an array of retro trinkets and mementos displayed. Take the classic marble-top table and wooden chairs for example – you can easily take Pinterest-worthy pictures here.

We also spotted an antique coffee grinder, radios, CDs, and even weighing scales that aren’t battery operated – something we don’t commonly see. Remember to be careful when browsing these items, given that most of them are probably fragile and older than some of us.
