POP MART’s CRYBABY pop-up at Singapore Oceanarium
If you missed POP MART’s CNY takeover at RWS, they’re back – only this time, they’re taking over the Singapore Oceanarium at Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) with none other than the beloved character, CRYBABY.
Enter CRYBABY Cry Me an Ocean – a world-first oceanarium takeover, happening from 24th June to 30th August 2026.
What can I expect at CRYBABY x Singapore Oceanarium?
For this activation, CRYBABY has been reimagined as marine animals that you’d find at Singapore Oceanarium too, like manta rays, sharks, and pufferfish. Each installation is accompanied by a character board that shares the story of the CRYBABY personality and characteristics of the animal being represented. So, you’ll also get to learn more about the sea creatures while hunting for each installation.
5m-tall inflatables
Even before you step into the Singapore Oceanarium, you’ll be greeted by a pair of 5m-tall CRYBABY inflatables. The 2 giant outdoor inflatables can be found near the Universal Studios Singapore globe.

There’s THE PUFFERFISH CRYBABY, who, like the sea urchin it’s paired with, is covered in spikes. These spikes, however, are not meant to hurt others, but to protect them. “I may look prickly all over, but my heart is gentle,” is the message of this CRYBABY installation.

Next is THE ANGLERFISH CRYBABY, where the character teams up with a sunfish to form an “Oddball Alliance”. Its tears are said to glow softly, illuminating the dark depths of the ocean like a reminder to “be your own light amidst the darkness”.

Other than the inflatables, there’s also a 2m-tall sculpture just before the entrance of the Singapore Oceanarium. This one’s called THE WHALESHARK, with little remoras swimming alongside, showing the symbiotic relationship between the sea creatures.
11 photo zones
Within the oceanarium, visitors will find 4 life-sized sculptures and several photo opportunities spaced out through the various galleries.

First up, we’ve got THE MANTA RAY, where CRYBABY is comforting its crying self through an embrace, while blocking out any external judgement.

Further down the exhibits, you’ll encounter THE SHARK and THE WHALE. While the former is a rebellious CRYBABY that rides the waves of emotions without fear, the latter is a CRYBABY that has surrendered to the ocean, allowing it to wash away the weight of exhaustion.

Last, and arguably the cutest, amongst the giant sculptures is THE JELLYFISH. Here, CRYBABY bears its soul to the encircling seagulls to make itself feel lighter.

Apart from the installations, photo backdrops featuring the entire Cry Me an Ocean series are scattered all around the oceanarium. Every now and then, you’ll come across one for a cute family picture.

Finally, don’t miss the miniature CRYBABY figurines from the series sitting on the rocks at the Discovery Pools. Spot starfish and get up close to other intertidal creatures while you’re at it.
CRYBABY POP-up at WEAVE

Don’t skedaddle off right after your Oceanarium visit – you’ll want to pop into the CRYBABY POP-up store at WEAVE, where you can purchase exclusive Cry Me an Ocean collectibles and merch.
When we visited the store, the main figures collection of CRYBABY Cry Me an Ocean Series was sold out. However, there were plenty of other blind boxes from the same series still available.

On offer are adorable earphone bags ($29.90), fridge magnets ($13.90), storage bags ($34.90), and neck pillows ($69.90).

Our favourites, though, were the vinyl plush pendants ($18.90) that we’d happily hang on our bags any day.

Visit CRYBABY at the Singapore Oceanarium
Parents, this activation comes just in time for the end of the June holidays. For the rest of us, we’ve got till the end of August to catch CRYBABY’s first-ever oceanarium takeover. You might want to head down sooner rather than later for the exclusive merch, though.
