Singapore Sports Hub Community Play Day

Exercising is called a “work out” because you’re pretty much “working” towards something: be it a fit body or just to battle that extra slice of pizza you had the other day. But if you’ve already gotten your fitness routine down to pat, time to actually put all that hard work to the test

Enter Singapore Sports Hub’s Community Play Day that’ll be happening on 13th and 14th April 2019, which is jam-packed with activities you can boast about on your feed. Whether you’re a fitness newcomer or a seasoned gym goer, here are some free events you can expect over the weekend.

Battle against friends at the Red-X Challenge

Singaporeans are unashamed about us having a competitive spirit when it comes to pretty much anything: from claiming we have the best food in the world, to polishing our power-walking skills to get on the MRT first.

See just how you fare against others in the fitness department with the Red-X Challenge which puts your physical abilities to the test. Try your hand at beating the clock solo, do a 1-on-1 stand-off against a friend, or do the challenge as a family. An obstacle course awaits the younger ones too. Red-X Kids is crafted to build their fundamental movement skills through 7 different challenges.

Red-X Challenge: Ages 16 and up
Red-X Kids: Ages 5-15

Take part in a mini Amazing Race around Sports Hub

Kind of like a scaled-down “Amazing Race” course, the Super 7s Adventure Race sends participants racing all over Sports Hub to conquer rugby-themed challenges. No need to worry about leaving your kids at the spectator benches either; it’s suitable for ages 4 and up, and you can join as a team of 2 to 5 members.

Test your parkour skills at Parkour Playspace

Parkour is the new “jog” of the 21st century; instead of running on a treadmill or in a park, you tackle obstacles like walls, railings, and stairs. That said, it’s not just a really cool activity; it’s also one heck of a challenge for the physique.

Good news for those itching to try this out; the event will have a Parkour Playspace that has introductory sessions for both adults and kids, as well as challenges to test your speed and ability. There are also parkour workshops and free-play sessions for you to polish those #fitspo skills.
