CNY Hong Bao Draw & TOTO wins

With Chinese New Year just around the corner, it’s time for spring cleaning, visiting River Hongbao 2026, and practising auspicious CNY traditions. But huat is also upon us, with the results of the $10,000,000 Hong Bao Draw happening on 29th January 2026 at 9.30pm.

While we didn’t get our fortune read by a shifu, we’re placing our bets on the data we collected. Whether you believe in feng shui or pray to Cai Shen Ye, let’s look back at the largest annual Hong Bao Draw and TOTO wins ranked to find out where the luckiest Singapore Pools branches and locations are for the winning share.

P.S. Check out our guide to buying TOTO if it’s your first time trying your luck at becoming a millionaire.

– Largest Hong Bao Draw wins –

1. $12,000,000 in 2020 – 1 winner

If you live in the East, you wouldn’t regret travelling to this supermarket at Bukit Batok. In 2020, 1 punter won $12,000,000 – the largest winning share of the Hong Bao Draw of all time. The winning ticket was bought at NTUC FairPrice at Bukit Batok MRT Station.

The most surprising part was that the ticket was a QuickPick Ordinary Entry, which meant that the winning numbers were randomly generated. And if the winner – or winners, we don’t know – only bought 1 ticket, they’d have spent only $1.

Winning numbers: 10, 15, 16, 21, 24, 49
Additional number: 2

2. $6,971,841 in 2016 – 2 winners

The winning ticket from Livewire MBS was a QuickPick System 7 Entry, which gives you 7 randomly generated numbers covering 7 different 6-number combinations, and the winning ticket from Ng Teo Guan Self Service was a QuickPick Ordinary Entry.

There are many reasons to make fun of Yishun, but in 2019, the neighbourhood sold 2 winning tickets for the Hong Bao Draw. 2 individuals enjoyed $6,807,717 each, and their tickets were bought from Cold Storage Northpoint and Sheng Siong Junction 9.

The best part is that both winning tickets were the $1 QuickPick Ordinary Entry tickets. Sadly, Cold Storage at Northpoint closed in 2022, so you can’t even head there now to try your luck for yourself.

Winning numbers: 5, 8, 14, 16, 34, 39
Additional number: 23

The ticket from River Hongbao was a System 7 Entry, where you’ll choose 7 numbers instead of 6. And the ticket from Lee Eng Trading Store was a QuickPick System 8 Entry. This means that you’ll get 8 randomly selected numbers that cover 28 different 6-number set combinations.

Other factors that you can consider are the ticket type and the numbers you choose. The most common numbers from the winning tickets are 16, 21, and 28. And if you don’t want to choose the numbers and leave it up to the God of Fortune, the most common winning ticket is the straightforward QuickPick Ordinary Entry.
