Ah, the Land of Smiles. For fashion at a bargain and street food featured on Netflix, exit at Bangkok. Beach bums and partygoers – you’ll know to get off at Phuket instead, where sand, sun, sea, and sexy beats beckon.
For those who eat, sleep, party, repeat, you probably already have your own favourite beach clubs you frequent. For everyone else new to partying on this isle, here are beach clubs in Phuket to bookmark for your next trip.

What to know before visiting a beach club in Phuket
You’re heading to a beach club where you’re going to be spending a lot of time in the sun. Naturally, you’ll want to slap on a strong sunblock to prevent yourself from getting burnt. Also pack swimsuits, shades, and a water bottle if you don’t plan on dropping serious green on cocktails and fresh coconuts. Most beach clubs will refill bottles for free or a small fee.
Beach clubs here accept most credit cards – Visa, Mastercard, and AMEX are your safest bets – but cash is also welcomed, especially if you plan on tipping your server discreetly. On that note, tips are optional and a 10% service charge is included in your final bill.
The best time to visit Phuket is from November to March, when there’s little rain and the air is driest, so you won’t feel the stickiness of Thailand’s infamous humidity. Monsoon season is from June to October, which means less crowds, but you run the risk of being rained out during your trip.
Watch out for cannabis-infused food and drinks, or edibles, on menus. As of May 2024, it’s still legal to consume cannabis in Thailand and there are a number of dining establishments that serve weed desserts to diners. It’s illegal for Singaporeans to consume drugs overseas.

1. YONA Beach Club

There are beach clubs and then there’s YONA Beach Club, which isn’t actually a beach club but a party arena on a 1,200sqm floating platform. That’s equivalent to 3 standard basketball courts, or big enough to hold a 22m-long infinity pool to dip your toes in.

Since you’re basically in the middle of the ocean, expect 360˚ views of the deep blue around you, no matter where you park your booty for the day. If lounging is all you’re planning to do, you’ve got your choice of sea bed or pool bed for 3 (from ฿12,000/bed, ~S$441.65). For bigger groups, there are shaded cabanas for groups of 4-8 pax (from ฿16,000, ~S$588.86).
But you don’t have to shell out hundreds to soak in the party vibes onboard YONA. Book yourself a day pass and you’ll get to dine at their restaurant. The day pass costs ฿3,000 (~S$110.43), ฿1,500 (~S$55.21) of which goes towards F&B credits to be used here.

2. Catch Beach Club
Free massages on Sundays
You can’t have a list of beach clubs in Phuket and not include the OG – Catch Beach Club. It pretty much put day drinking and lying around doing nothing on the map. But it’s grown to be so much more than just tanning by the infinity pool.

There are events on the daily, like residencies featuring world-renowned DJs, and even BBQ buffets on Friday nights at just ฿2,225/pax (~S$81.92). If the beach club feels too limiting, you can even rent a yacht right from the premises and go island hopping instead.

But there are perks to staying on shore, like free massages. Rubbing out sore muscles is not a want but a knead need in Thailand. At Catch Beach Club, you can get an hour-long one at no additional cost when you come on Sundays.

3. Baba Beach Bar

When loud music and alcohol are a must, it’s not surprising that most beach clubs come slapped with an M18 label out front. But there’s no need to put a damper on your vacation if you can’t find a babysitter.

Bring your kiddos along to Baba Beach Bar the next time you just want a lie down in the sun. Youngins under 12 enter for free with every paying adult.
Admission isn’t the only kid-friendly thing here. The menu of child-portioned finger foods and pastas will appease even the fussiest of tots. And if you’re wary of junior taking a dip in the deep blue, there’s a sprawling pool with a shallower end just for them.

Just because kids are involved doesn’t mean it’ll stop being a rager for adults. The Beverly Hills-inspired beach club has a swim-up bar serving cocktails and beer from ฿280 (~S$10.31) that you can take with you to the poolside daybeds.

As for couples who want a private escape without FOMO-ing on the party, opt for the Gabana Day Villas going at ฿5,000 (~S$184.03) for 2 pax. Apart from snagging a private daybed and direct access to the beach, you’ll also get a drink, free flow water, and fresh fruits served to you.
If the day barely begins at dusk for you, turn your lounge into a stay by booking a night at the Baba Beach Club Natai just a couple of steps from the pool.

4. Cafe del Mar Phuket

Older ones among us might remember the gentle dum zi dum zi that played across Siloso Beach when Cafe del Mar used to be in Singapore. If you’ve missed that, here’s your chance to relive that nostalgia with the club’s franchise in Phuket.
When DJs aren’t spinning, live music comes on during the day.

Just like how it was back in SG, the same synth-heavy house music lives on here, and can be heard in all 4 corners of the huge compound. Size shouldn’t matter, but with loungers by the pool, at the beach, bar, and 2nd-floor balcony, this means there’s rarely a shortage of beds and cabanas.

There’s a minimum spend of at least ฿5,000 (~S$184.03) for a sofa or daybed, but you can split this with 4 other friends. It won’t be difficult to hit this figure though. Cafe del Mar is known for its indulgent menu, which includes freshly shucked oysters, sushi, and burgers, and a long list of alcoholic options.
This place also has its own cigar menu to make you feel like you’re actually in Ibiza, with prices starting at ฿250 (~S$31.10) for a Marlboro Gold.

5. Pine Beach Bar
Free fire shows on weekends

Step right up to Pine Beach Bar if you’re looking for dinner and a show, and not just a laze in the sun. Add a little spark to your weekends with their free fire shows from Fridays to Saturdays. As the sun sets, performers light up the night sky with sparklers that spit fire with each twirl they make.
But as you wait for darkness to set in, come early to chope your place on the cabanas or daybeds. These are free for all to use on a first come, first serve basis, and with no minimum spend required.

They do get snapped up fast, so we reckon staying the night at the InterContinental Phuket Resort, which is attached to this beach club.

6. Coast Beach Club & Bistro
Private dinners from S$185/pax
Think Phuket and Patong Beach with its throngs of beach-goers occupying every empty daybed probably come to mind. If you’d rather party with close friends only, then the quieter Karon Beach and its only beach club would be right up your alley.

Karon Beach is known for its stretches of white sand and luxury resorts, like Centara Grand Beach Resort Phuket, which is where you’ll find Coast Beach Club & Bistro.
You’ll get your usual spread of spun tunes and drinks at this beach club. But it’s the food that guests regularly return to here. Its main feature? Private dinners that will only set you back ฿5,060/pax (~S$186.25).

Jio your buddies and be treated to a beachside meal of aperitifs and canapes to start, as well as a choice selection of Italian and Thai dishes from the kitchen. Out on the sand, there awaits a blazing grill for cuts of steak and seafood caught the day of.

7. Kudo Beach Club
Free pool entry & lounge zones
By now, you know the drill with beach clubs – seats must be reserved by spending a minimum amount on food and drinks. Here at Kudo Beach Club though, there’s no need to spend a bomb just to chill by the pool.

Located along the ever popular Patong Beach, it’s one of the few beach clubs on this stretch that has free entry always, except on certain party nights. And this includes use of the pool, plus any of the deck or lounge chairs you may find around the pool, on the beach or on the terrace.

Plush seating, like the cabanas and sofas, are the only ones that require a minimum spend of ฿8,000 (~S$293.54) to use. Even then, there are flexibilities on how many people can share one, so feel free to invite the whole gang over.

There’s still a resident DJ that spins EDM on days that there aren’t any parties. The bulk of the action centres around the console at the swim-up pool bar. Head down early if you want to groove by the pool; it tends to get crowded by mid-afternoon.

8. Carpe Diem Beach Club
Popular work spot for digital nomads
Go straight from client calls to cocktails without moving from your seat at Carpe Diem Beach Club. By day, it’s a hot spot for digital nomads – there are multiple plugs around so your laptops remain charged all day.

But when work doesn’t beckon, it’s a thriving beach club with in-house DJs and live bands playing a mix of lounge and EDM. Choose to chill out on the personal hammocks, made available if you buy lunch or dinner here. Or if you’re here with a friend, daybeds come with a minimum spend of ฿2,000 (~S$77.70) for 2 pax.

Your usual beach club crowd is likely to spend the afternoon snoozing in the sun like a house cat. But if you’re more of a restless creature, Xana Beach Club might just be the place for you.

Rather than lounging about on daybeds and poolside deck chairs, this beach club also includes sea sports for those who can’t sit still. Get the Active Day Pass (from ฿950, ~S$34.97), which comes with free use of stand-up paddleboards and kayaks for 40-50 minutes.

You can even use the day pass to access the attached spa for a wind down. There’s also ฿500 (~S$18.40) in F&B credits thrown in to fuel back up after a whole day of water sports.

10. Paradise Beach Club
Convenient shuttle bus service

If you’re someone who stresses on the value of convenience in a foreign country, check out Paradise Beach Club. It has a shuttle bus service with drop-off locations along Patong Beach, so you don’t have to haggle with tuk tuk drivers over the cost of a ride from your resort to the club.
They’ve got the usual thumping music and loungers here if all you want to do is nua. But for the sportier ones among your squad, Paradise Beach Club offers sea sports like paddle boarding, snorkelling, and kayaking at an extra cost.

You can even pick up scuba diving if you like. If you’re not sure this is for you, book the free trial dive that comes with all equipment needed, including time with a PADI-certified instructor. Once you’ve got a taste of it, there are PADI courses for beginners and advanced divers looking to familiarise themselves with open water scuba diving as well.
