If you’d like to dip your toes – pun intended – into the world of multisport endurance events, then look no further than MetaSprint Series Singapore. It’s an annual multisport race series held in Singapore made up of 3 progressive events, an aquathlon, a duathlon, and a triathlon.

For the uninitiated, here’s a quick rundown of what each event comprises:

  • Aquathlon: swim-run
  • Duathlon: run-bike run
  • Triathlon: swim-bike-run

Back to MetaSprint Series Singapore, they’ve been around since 2008, so they definitely know their stuff when hosting these races. They’re pretty inclusive too, having split their races into 6 different groups to cater to a wide range of participants of varying age and skill levels.

Each race is supposed to be a stepping stone for the next, providing a sense of linear progression for participants, but you can also choose to enter each one individually. In fact, they’ve just concluded their aquathlons last Sunday, so the only races you can sign up for are the duathlons (from $77) and triathlons (from $87), which will be held on 15th and 29th March 2026 respectively.

Should the peaks of Mount Faber or Bukit Timah Hill in Singapore not suffice, hop on a short flight over to the city of Dalat to try your hand at the Dalat Ultra Trail 2026. It’s a 3-day-long trail running event taking place from 27th to 29th March 2026 in the central highlands of Southern Vietnam.

With elevation gains of over 4,000 metres, the jog will be cooling, seeing that you’ll be perched so high up the mountains. However, the journey up is no walk in the park; categories such as the 5km, 15km, 21km, 50km, 75km, 100km, and 100PRO runs will take runners through pine forests, hills, highland valleys, lakes, and eventually Lang Biang Peak, the highest point in all of Dalat.

Firstly, it’s a single, continuous 10km course rather than loops, so runners can focus on maintaining a constant pace and cadence. Early race times also ensure runners won’t feel the effects of racing in the heat, and the organisers have even tweaked timings to optimise comfort and performance. Plus, you can try out ASICS’ range of performance-focused running shoes like the METASPEED on race day itself in hopes of shaving a few seconds off your timing.
