1. Bitexco Financial Tower – at the heart of Saigon’s city center, observation deck on the 49th floor

Though only 4 out of Bitexco Financial Tower’s 68 levels offer shopping and dining, you can find basically all types of services here: Food Creative food court on the 4th level with a myriad of delicious food options priced from VND40,000 (~USD1.72), a spacious and comfortable movie theatre on the 5th floor, select shops selling casual, sportswear, cosmetics, and a clinic on the 1st floor.

For a panoramic view over the city, visit the glass-enclosed observation deck on the 49th floor, 262 meters from the ground. Admission is VND200,000 (~USD8.62) for adults and VND130,000 (~USD5.60) for children under 12 years old.  

Bitexco Financial Tower becomes impressively vibrant at night, as it’s home to EON Heli Bar on the 52nd floor, where you can admire the sparkling cityscape and nightlife over a cool drink.

2. Crescent Mall – boasts a comfortable cinema with beds

Crescent Mall is located in the expensive Phú Mỹ Hưng neighborhood and overlooks Crescent Lake. With a gigantic chain of F&B restaurants, luxury stores, lifestyle outlets, and Auchan, having everything you can imagine a supermarket could carry, it attracts customers from all walks of life.

3. Diamond Plaza – surrounded by the city’s most popular attractions

One of the oldest malls in downtown Saigon since 1999 and well-known for its Paris-like elegant architecture, Diamond Plaza is beside the city’s most popular attractions, such as the Notre Dame Cathedral, Saigon Post Office, and Book Street, making it the perfect pit stop for travellers. 

Diamond Plaza houses eclectic retail stores offering everything from Korean cosmetics, fashion, artisan jewellery to comfort foods – think Baskin Robbins, Dim Sum House, and Long Monaco.

4. Now Zone – lots of cheap finds

Now Zone, a shopping plaza that’s close to both District 1, District 5, and District 10, is a great place to shop clothes at affordable prices.

The venue also houses the city’s most favorite F&B brands such as Coffee Bean, KOI and Phuc Long, which makes it an ideal place to hang out over tasty drinks and watch the world go by.

5. SC VivoCity – Singaporean cuisines and a spacious UNIQLO store

SC Vivo City literally has everything you look for in a Little Singapore. Not only does its great selection of clothing from Uniqlo, Adidas, Converse, Cotton On, to name a few, satisfy whatever look you’re going for – casual, professional, or anything in between – the mall is also a haven for Singaporean cuisine, from kaya toast to Hainanese chicken rice to chilli crab to laksa to frog porridge.

Those who live nearby can check out California Fitness & Yoga on level 4. This workout center offers a wide range of modern equipment as well as personal training programs.

6. AEON MALL Tan Phu Celadon – free shuttle bus and extensive dining options at affordable prices


This is one of the largest and budget-friendly shopping malls in Ho Chi Minh City

Whether you are looking for clothes, recreational activities, electronic goods, or comfort foods at various price points, surely you will find one that is up your alley within AEON MALL Tan Phu Celadon, a spacious Japanese-style one-stop mall.

Spanning over four floors, AEON MALL Tan Phu Celadon is home to a great range of boutique shops selling clothing from Adidas, Bata, Banana Republic, Converse and local fashion labels, from affordable evening gowns to designer stock.

Do not skip the Hội An Cuisine food court, where you can enjoy authentic cuisines from over 17 food joints that can host up to 750 people in a beautifully decorated dining setting reminiscent of Hội An. 7. The Garden Mall – the first mall in town with a theatre, plenty of Chinese cuisine

The Garden Mall, the latest mall in District 5, is a big draw for residents from neighboring Districts with its good selection of restaurants and a haunting past.

You can find most well-known fashion and lifestyle brands here, from Nike to Charles & Keith to GIO BERNINI to GAP.

If you’re feeling peckish, check out the mall’s plethora of food, from Korean BBQ, to Japanese delights to Taiwanese milk tea, with the Cocochin Cho Lon food court dedicated to serving a wide array of Chinese foods.

If you need some fresh air, you can walk to Vinhomes Central Park’s green spaces nearby, take a stroll alongside the bank of Saigon River, or create lots of snapshots with Landmark 81 as your backdrop.

For a panoramic view over the cityscape, ascend to the Observation Deck on the 79th, 80th, and 81st floor of Landmark 81. The entrance ticket costs VND801,000 (~USD34.47) for adults and VND405,000 (~USD17.43) for children.

If the ticket fare seems a bit too exorbitant, drop by Nest by AIA Cafe on level 75 and 76 of the building instead for some equally magnificent views and lots of Instagrammable spots. The price point for drinks here is from VND90,000-VND350,000 (~USD3.87-USD15.06), a bit pricey but still much more affordable than the entrance tickets to the observation deck.
