Working Title Riverside cafe
Bust out your best brunch outfit and hit up your friends, ‘cause it’s time to go on a picnic date. Aside from the usual haunts like Marina Barrage and Palawan Sentosa, we’re here to introduce you to another spot: Working Title Riverside.
This cafe’s basically a 2-in-1 solution for your picnic plans – you can get your grub here, as well as a picnic mat to chill on and a basket to store your food. ‘Nuff said, we’ll spill the details now:
IG-worthy interior with riverside views
This halal-certified cafe is a quick 10-minute walk from Lavender MRT, located along the scenic Kallang river. In case you’re unable to find the place, simply look out for Kallang Riverside Condominium – the cafe is on the 1st floor near the entrance.
The cafe also has a nursing room, great for mums out on brunch dates.

Ready your cameras as you step inside as the place has been decorated to a T. It’s decked out in creamy pastel colours, with peachy-pink tabletops and cushions paired with gorgeous dried flowers on every table.

You’ll notice a huge wooden dining table too – it’s actually a communal eating space so you can mingle with other cafegoers. If you wish to work here, there are charging outlets and free Wi-Fi available. Just try not to hog the tables during peak hours so other customers can have a seat as well.

If you love the great outdoors, head out to the alfresco dining area instead. You can feast on the surrounding greenery as you feast on your food. The cafe is pet-and child-friendly so they can roam around in nature here. Plus, the colourful aesthetics make for a great photospot!

It’s time to satisfy your tummy. If you’re visiting with your mates, get the Truffle Tater Tots ($12) to share – they’re crispy on the outside and well coated with an oaky truffle flavour. For a more substantial meal, try the Classic Burger ($15) or the Eggs Benny ($16). The former has a juicy Angus beef patty and the latter is a yummy vegetarian option.
The cafe also currently offers a $20 brunch promotion from now till 22nd November 2023. You can choose 1 burger – either the Fit Bird (U.P. $16) or The Classic (U.P. $15), 1 brunch plate – either Avo Toastie (U.P. $13) or Chokona Pancake (U.P. $12), and 2 coffees of your choice. This is an all-day deal, BTW.

Okay, we lied. There’s 1 more spot to dine at here – the grassy area outside the cafe. Don’t despair if you didn’t bring your own picnic mat as the cafe has free tatami-style ones for loan. They’re kept in a cupboard at the store entrance, and there is no time limit for your usage. Once you’re done, wipe off any dirt on the mats and return it back to the cupboard.

Working Title Riverside also gives out FOC reusable rattan bags if you choose to take away your F&B. Just approach any of the friendly staff and request for the bags. They’ll help to pack your food so you can conveniently bring your food to your desired picnic spot. And yes, you’re free to take the bags home after you’re done.
Plan a cute date at the Working Title Riverside
We’ll never say no to a new date spot in Singapore, especially one with both indoor and outdoor options like Working Title Riverside. Furthermore, picnic fiends need not bring any equipment here as everything is provided for you, for free.
We recommend making a table reservation if you’re planning to sit indoors, as the cafe gets pretty packed especially on weekends. And if you’re intending to have your meal outdoors, remember to check the weather forecast before heading down.
