Browse Over 1,200 SingLit Titles At Singapore Book Street 2026 & Take Part In A Free Stamp Rally

Singapore Book Street 2026

Bookworms, here’s another event to add to your calendar. Singapore Book Street 2026, happening from now till 8th November 2026, has landed in VivoCity. The event brings together a massive collection of local literary works, interactive activities, and opportunities to meet the creative minds behind your favourite reads.

Fun fact: This is Singapore’s largest book fair dedicated to SingLit, with over 1,200 titles across 4 languages to browse. We headed down to check out the fair for ourselves, and here’s what you can look forward to.

What can I expect at the Singapore Book Street?

This inaugural fair marks the return of book fairs to the HarbourFront area after several decades. Back in the 1970s and 1980s, the Singapore Festival of Books and Book Fair were held at the former World Trade Centre, now known as HarbourFront Centre.

Browse over 1,200 SingLit titles across 4 languages

If your bookshelf could do with a refresh, you’ll be spoilt for choice at Singapore Book Street 2026. Organised by the National Arts Council (NAC) and Singapore Book Publishers Association (SBPA), the fair showcases over 1,200 SingLit titles in English, Malay, Chinese, and Tamil.

There’s a little something for every kind of reader, with genres spanning fiction, non-fiction, fantasy, poetry, and children’s literature. You’ll also find picture books, educational titles, and heritage books that offer a closer look at Singapore’s culture and history.

Meet the people behind the books

Besides browsing the shelves, visitors can look forward to meeting local authors, illustrators, and poets. There’ll also be book-signing sessions, so keep an eye out for the chance to get your purchases signed by the people who created them.

You will get the chance to meet authors like Janice Khoo, Ames Chan, Ling Yuan, Shirley Ong, Maria Mahat, and more authors from publishers like Epigram Books, Education Publishing House (EPH), Lingzi Media Pte Ltd, and Shing Lee Publishers. Check out the full list of Singapore Book Street programmes.

Use your SG Culture Pass credits to purchase eligible books

Here’s some good news for those looking to stretch their book-shopping budget. Many titles at Singapore Book Street 2026 are eligible for purchase using SG Culture Pass credits, giving you another way to support Singapore’s literary scene.

To get started, head to the official SG Culture Pass website and log in using Singpass. Complete your profile details and a short survey, and your credits will be automatically disbursed through GovWallet.

Keep a lookout for books with the red SG Culture Pass label – these are the ones that can be purchased using the credits.

Take a reading break at the cosy seating area

After browsing the books, choose to settle down at the fair’s dedicated reading area to take a breather.

Complete with bean bags, tables, and chairs, this cosy corner offers a comfortable space for visitors to flip through their new reads. Families can also sit down together and enjoy some reading time with their little ones.

It’s a welcome spot to rest your feet after browsing the fair, especially if you’ve spent the afternoon adding more books to your growing collection.

What are the interactive activities at Singapore Book Street?

There’s more to Singapore Book Street 2026 than simply shopping for books; you can also enjoy several interactive activities that bring literature and art to life.

Live Drawing Station

Ever wondered what you’d look like through an artist’s eyes? At the Live Drawing Station, you can share a favourite book, a memorable line, or simply strike a pose for a personalised portrait.

A featured artist will create your portrait on the spot in under 10 minutes, making it a unique keepsake to bring home. Different artists will be featured each day, so you can look forward to a variety of creative styles.

You’ll need to spend a minimum of $50 at the fair to redeem a portrait. Do note that the activity is limited to the first 10 customers per timeslot.

Date: 3rd-8th November
Time: Tues to Fri 3pm-4pm | Sat & Sun 2.30pm-3.30pm & 4.30pm-5.30pm

Live Typewriter Poetry

Then head over to the Live Typewriter Poetry station, where you can get a poem written specially for you. Simply give the poet your name and 3 random words, and watch as they transform your prompts into a personalised piece of poetry using a vintage typewriter.

The best part? You’ll get to take home a one-of-a-kind poem created just for you. A minimum spend of $50 is required to redeem a free personalised poem, and this activity is also limited to the first 10 customers per timeslot.

Date: 3rd-8th November
Time: Tues to Fri 6pm-7pm | Sat & Sun 1pm-2pm & 6pm-7pm

SingLit Cloud Printer

If you love collecting little mementoes, don’t miss the free SingLit Cloud Printer. This interactive kiosk resembles the self-ordering machines at McDonald’s, except instead of ordering a meal, you’ll be getting a poem.

There are 3 ways to receive your poetry print. Take a short personality quiz to get a personalised poem based on your answers, hit the “Surprise Me!” button for a random selection, or choose a specific poem by tapping one of the blue buttons displaying its title.

Once you’ve made your selection, the kiosk will print your poem on a receipt-like slip of paper. It’s a fun little literary souvenir that you can tuck into your journal or use as a bookmark.

Complete a free stamp rally with exclusive designs

Those who enjoy collecting stamps can also participate in the free Singapore Book Street Stamp Rally, featuring 2 exclusive illustrations created specially for the event.

The designs are by Linda Yew and Cheng Puay Koon, winners of the Singapore Children’s Book Festival’s Illustrator of the Year 2026.

Unlike ordinary stamps, each illustration consists of 3 separate layers. You’ll need to collect and stamp all 3 layers correctly to reveal the completed artwork.

There are 6 stamp rally stations located throughout the fair, giving visitors the chance to explore the event while collecting the different layers.

Are there any freebies at Singapore Book Street?

And if you’re planning to stock up on books, spending a minimum of $100 will also get you a Singapore Book Street tote bag, notebook, and stickers, along with a free Stamp Rally Passbook that you can use for the activity.
