There’s A New Quby-Themed Exhibition At Science Centre, With Cute Photo Ops & Limited-Edition Plush Keychains

Quby’s Science Explorer Buddies & QUBY WORLD at Science Centre Singapore

There’s a good chance you’ve come across Quby, the adorable white cartoon character that’s been popping up everywhere, from WhatsApp stickers to plushies. Well, the little fella is turning 10 this year, and Science Centre Singapore is joining in on the celebrations.

To celebrate the adorable character’s 10th anniversary, Science Centre Singapore is launching Quby’s Science Explorer Buddies, as well as QUBY WORLD, where you can snap cute photos with Quby-themed installations and explore interactive science exhibits.

Shop 5 new Quby plush keychains inspired by marine life & local treats

Whether you’re a long-time Quby collector or simply someone who can’t resist an adorable plushie, the latest Quby Science Explorer Buddies collection might just have you reaching for your wallet. The collection features 5 special-edition plush keychains, each with a unique design and a connection to science.

Ocean lovers can look forward to Whale Quby, Scallop Quby, and Manta Ray Quby, which take inspiration from their respective marine creatures. It’s a cute way to bring a little bit of the underwater world into your plushie collection.

There’s also Baby Quby, a miniature-inspired take on the beloved character that’s bound to win over anyone with a soft spot for tiny things.

And for a touch of local flavour, there’s Kueh Tutu Quby, inspired by the traditional Singaporean snack. Who knew one of our favourite childhood treats could make such an adorable plushie?

The plush keychains will be available for $29 each at the Curiosity Shop in Science Centre Singapore from 28th October 2026.

What can I expect at QUBY WORLD?

The Quby celebrations extend beyond the merchandise shelves. Head over to the Everyday Science gallery at Hall D from 28th October 2026 onwards, where QUBY WORLD brings the adorable character into a series of science-themed displays.

Snap photos with Quby-themed installations

Get your cameras ready, because QUBY WORLD has plenty of adorable photo spots to give your camera roll a Quby-themed makeover.

For starters, there’s a giant periodic table that gives the familiar chemistry chart a larger-than-life makeover. It’s a fun photo spot for anyone who wants to channel their inner scientist.

Next, head over to the Quby-themed photobooth to snap some adorable pictures. For just $10, you’ll get 2 photostrips per session featuring the adorable Quby against a space-themed backdrop, making for a cute little keepsake to remember your visit.

Don’t miss the dome-themed Quby installation either, where you can pose for even more photos with the beloved character.

With all these adorable Quby-themed photo spots, you might want to clear some space in your camera roll before heading down, because 1 picture definitely won’t be enough.

Explore the gallery’s scientific displays for fun learning

While you’re there, don’t forget to explore the gallery’s interactive exhibits, which reveal the surprising science behind things we encounter in our daily lives.

For instance, there’s an exhibit demonstrating the Coanda Effect, where visitors can observe how a stream of water behaves near a solid surface. You’ll get to experiment with a ping pong ball attached to a string, moving it towards a thin stream of water to see the phenomenon in action.

Another exhibit, Bending Water, lets you discover how static electricity can influence the movement of water. Simply rub a rod against a piece of cloth to charge it, then bring it close to a flowing stream of water and watch what happens.

The science behind it? Although water has no overall electrical charge, its molecules have positively and negatively charged sides. When a charged object comes close, the water molecules respond, causing the stream to bend towards it.

These hands-on exhibits let little scientists unleash their curiosity and pick up a thing or two while having a blast.

How much does a ticket to QUBY WORLD cost?

Best of all, access to QUBY WORLD is included with your regular Science Centre Singapore admission ticket, so there’s no separate ticket needed to explore the displays.
