In case you hadn’t noticed, we Singaporeans are absolutely obsessed with our public transport. It should come as no surprise, as we spend so much time on them, be it tapping into the MRT to get to work or boarding the bus to get to our weekend hangouts. Heck, we’re so enamoured with our daily commute, that a certain MRT guessing game had the entire nation hooked for a good week or so in April.
As such, the ongoing SimplyGo Adventure Quest pop-up at Bugis+ should pique the interest of pretty much everyone. It’s got everything transport enthusiasts could wish for – themed photo spots, bus and train-inspired merch, as well as fun games where you can snag freebies at. Here’s all you need to know about it before heading down.
The SimplyGo Adventure Quest pop-up is an installation set up by SimplyGo at Bugis+’s Level 2 Atrium, and will be there from now till 5th July 2026, 11am to 10pm daily. Entry to the pop-up is completely free.
It’ll be running in conjunction with the SimplyGo Adventure Quest game, which invites participants to download the SimplyGo app (App Store | Google Play) in order to rack up points, referred to as steps, to redeem rewards. Actions that reward steps include scanning various QR codes at MRT stations, answering in-game trivia questions, and completing public transport journeys.
Prizes that can be won through the game include cashback credits to fund your next commute, merchant vouchers, as well as adorable Mr. Merlion goodies like plushies, stickers, coasters, and fridge magnets.

A bulk of the pop-up consists of shelves after shelves of merch, so be prepared to burn a hole in your wallet if you plan on copping everything in sight, and trust us, you just might be tempted to do so. For starters, there’s a DIY keychain bar (from $15) where you can personalise a keychain, and apart from slapping on your initials, consider adorning yours with these uniquely Singaporean charms.
If you’ve got a penchant for all that is adorable, Mr Merlion’s signature plushies (from $23) are a must-buy; designs like ice kacang, laksa, and kueh lapis were a hit with both kids and adults alike, and they’ve even got one that takes after our MRT trains. Other cutesy goods to check out include stickers ($10/3 pieces), assorted blind boxes (from $23), and t-shirts (from $29).
Transport enthusiasts will also have a field day here, as there’s tons of transport-inspired trinkets to check out. One that caught our eye was the selection of station sound keychains ($12), which chime with a familiar announcement with the press of a button. These keychains of bus ticketing machines ($12) and card readers ($12) by Heng Suay Eating House are also extremely charming and will definitely ring a bell.
For something more up-to-date, there are train models from Knackstop for sale too, in 2 variants.
One is more hands-on, as it’s a LEGO-like model (from $55) that you’ll have to build from scratch, while the other is a more life-like, diecast recreation (from $42) of the very trains we board in our day-to-day lives. They also have models of SBS and SMRT buses (from $28), and even ComfortDelGro taxis ($25); talk about inclusivity.
There are also a number of themed-photo spots scattered around to snap a pic at. One can be found right before you set foot into the pop-up – they’ve modelled its entrance to take after the very MRT gantries you’d walk through at the train stations. Of course, you needn’t whip out your card to tap in – the pop-up is free to enter for everyone after all.
Further in, there’s a “photobooth” filled with standees of Mr Merlion mascots presented in pixel art form, as well as a backdrop of what you’d see on a typical MRT ride in Singapore. There’s no physical camera in here though, so you’ll have to whip out your phones to take your own photos.

Finally, a retro-looking bus stop can be found in the middle of the pop-up, which doubles as an actual rest stop for visitors. The queues here can get pretty long, so we don’t blame folks for taking a breather here waiting for friends and family members to check out their carts.
Finally, there are also a few game stations to try your hand at. Simply make any purchase at the pop-up, no minimum spend required, and make your way to the redemption counter beside the cashier’s near the back to collect a stamp card.
There are a total of 3 game stations to have a go at. Don’t worry, you can’t really “fail” at any of them; simply completing the activity will reward you with a stamp on your card. Up first is the Plan Your Journey game that will have you calculating the shortest travel route between 2 randomly selected MRT stations.
Meanwhile, the Match The Uniform game is exactly what it sounds like – you’ve got 15 seconds to match the Public Transport Operator with their corresponding uniforms. Finally, see if you’ve got the reaction time to stop the timer at exactly 8.88 seconds at the Flag For Your Bus station.

After you’ve filled up your stamp card, head over to the redemption booth to claim your prize, where you’ll be given 1 out of 11 random prizes. They’ve got paper models of buses and trains up for grabs, as well as tote bags, pens, enamel pins, and badges to name a few.
Speaking of prizes, if you’ve been diligently racking up steps for the SimplyGo Adventure Quest game, you can redeem your rewards at the pop-up’s redemption booth located just beside the entrance.
Whether you’re big into trains and buses or simply a chronic collector of ling ling long longs, the SimplyGo Adventure Quest pop-up has it all. We visited on a Thursday afternoon and it was decently packed, so you might want to visit early before the crowds form and all the adorable offerings get snatched up.
