As we continue to fight COVID-19 here in Singapore, here’s another way to give back to the community besides being socially responsible and staying home. From now till 31st May 2020, share your Masterchef moments on Instagram to help feed an underprivileged child affected by COVID-19.

With the support of CapitaLand Hope Foundation (CHF), property giant Ascott is pledging US$200,000 to Save the Children’s global food security and assistance programmes. They are now rallying those staying at home to help reach their target donation with just a picture and a hashtag.

During this Circuit Breaker, many people have been proudly sharing their homemade culinary masterpieces on social media. Since you’re going to post that picture of dalgona coffee or muah chee anyway, here’s a way to do good while you make others salivate.

For every picture or video you post on Instagram of your finished dish or even of the cooking process, CHF will donate US$10 to Save The Children that will provide food for a child for over 20 days. All you have to do is make sure your IG profile is set to public and to use the #StayHomeWithAscott hashtag.

Follow The Ascott Limited’s IG page as they share recipes for you to try at home and who knows, maybe you’ll spot your creation being featured!

With the donations, Save The Children will be able to provide aid to marginalised children in over 117 countries. This will ensure that they are not forgotten and are protected during this pandemic. They have already received $100,000 in donations from this initiative and are now calling on those at home to join the cause.

Now more than ever, it’s important to band together and keep our community safe as well as support disadvantaged groups in our battle against COVID-19.
