For those who want to escape the crowds, Tanjong Rhu Resort is a luxury resort on the northern tip of Langkawi. It may be a 30-minute drive from the airport, but the hotel can arrange a private limousine to fetch you in style, at an additional cost.
The resort may be in a hidden enclave on the island, but that doesn’t mean you’ll be totally disconnected from civilisation – just rent a Sedan, MPV, or limo from the hotel to drive to attractions around Langkawi.
Tanjong Rhu Resort also organises sunset cruises and mangrove tours, if you want to see the wildlife and flora and fauna of Langkawi with your own eyes. There are even beachfront ATV rides for thrillseekers.
