NERF Action Xperience at Marina Square has plenty of space for you to shoot styrofoam pellets to your heart’s content. Those who love a fictional apocalyptic scenario can head to their Zombie City, a shooting arena with digital and mechanical zombies, almost like a scene straight out of World War Z.
Scene: an abandoned town
It’s not just zombies you can shoot; it’s your friends too. Form teams of 6 and head to Camp Dune for a round of Capture the Flag with unlimited NERF styrofoam pellets. After all the firing action, there’s a high elements course you can challenge yourself with and a kid’s playzone for all the young ones out there.

One of the most wholesome ways to spend the night out is prawning with your best buds. But fun as that may be, prawning sites are known to be set in pretty ulu areas, reachable only by car. Not Fish at AMK though.
Situated right under the viaducts of Yio Chu Kang MRT, this spot has 3 large pools for prawning. For those who’d prefer to go prawning in the day, there’s no need to worry about getting burnt by the sun either as the train tracks keep the area well shaded.

Featuring next-level history exhibitions, The Bicentennial Experience is a limited-time event at Fort Canning. Surging in popularity since it first opened several months back, this event is already fully booked through November weekends so make sure to reserve a ticket ASAP if you’d like to visit.

Regardless of whether you’re a history buff or not, check out their mind-blowing Time Traveller interactive showcase. Centuries of history are condensed into an hour-long interactive show with fun elements such as an indoor rain room and theatre screenings.

Simpsons thematic room
With VR games, darts and a whopping 23 themed rooms to choose from, the new K.STAR outlet at Suntec City is a must-visit for all those who need a dose of karaoke to brighten up their day.
There are 5 different types of rooms here, suitable for all group sizes. Small groups can head to their thematic rooms, priced at an affordable $25/room per hour (6-8 pax) with themes like Simpson and Hello Kitty. Larger groups of up to 70 people can unlock their VIP rooms with VR games and pool tables.

Fort Canning is a blissful pocket of nature in the middle of town that most of us have already visited at least once in our lives. But it’s time for a revisit as the area has been revamped lately with the addition of 9 new historical gardens that make it a star amongst Singapore attractions.

For those who have been sleeping through History lessons as a kid, and have no idea what you’re looking at, there is an AR guide you can follow on the BALIKSG app (iOS, Android), that’ll guide you through the area.

Recently opened in the National Gallery is the new Rotunda Library and Archive, packed with historical resources from the 19th through the 21st century. History lovers looking for a good read can expect to find more than 20,000 physical and digital items including rare publications here.

Other than carrying unique books on its shelves, the place has a distinctive olden charm as well with its domed-shaped roof supported by Roman column pillars, making it quaint space to spend the day indulging in books.

Picking up skating can be intimidating, considering how most end up on their bums on their first few attempts. For a safe space to get started on the sport, check out Hi-Roller, Singapore’s largest indoor skating rink.
They’ve classes to get you started and a separate red section for newbies to practice at, before heading out to the blue zone to join the pros. Disco lights and EDM music are added bonuses that’ll keep you pumped throughout.

Lalang field grassland with a single tree in its midst
Despite our tiny land area, Singapore has plenty of nature parks to explore, but among them all, the prettiest has got to be the new Lakeside Garden. Complete with a lalang field, water play area and scenic boardwalks, this gem certainly adds some compelling points to the #westsidebestside argument.
The attractions here are all integrated with nature, with the epitome of them all being their Forest Ramble, a playground with tree-house-like structures and a giant metal slide to whizz down.

Ninja Obstacle Course
Playgrounds are aplenty. But playgrounds with obstacle courses, trampolines, AR games, claw machines? Not so much.
Ball pit area
Standing as the largest indoor playground in Singapore, Kiztopia is a kiddie paradise with 18 different themed zones. These range from the classic ball pit to ninja warrior obstacle courses for your young ones to put their athletic abilities to the test.

Surprisingly still under the radar, AVENUE is a swanky speakeasy bar with craft cocktails and live DJ performances. What really brings it above and beyond though, is their entertainment facilities. No one’s gonna need poker cards here with a karaoke room, several arcade games, and even a mini-bowling alley within the premises.

Jurong Lake Gardens (start point)
Outdoor junkies are in for a new adventure with the Coast-To-Coast Trail, a new trail that takes you through across Singapore’s nature enclaves. The route is an extensive 36KM long, which can be split up and explored in sections, or done within a day if you’re up for a challenge.
Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park
Beginning at Jurong Lake Gardens, the path winds through Bukit Batok Nature Park, Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park and Singapore Botanic Gardens, just to name a few. Upon completing the journey, you’ll find yourself emerging at the finishing point at Coney Island, where you can call yourself a champ and give yourself a good pat on the back.

Originating from Russia, Amazing Castle is an indoor playspace comprising 9 different game stations with upgraded and upsized versions of classic arcade games – their Burning Surfer is a modern-day version of Space Invaders and Goons is reminiscent of Whac-A-Mole.

For a date idea sheltered away from surprise downpours of the end of the year, Floral Fantasy at Gardens By The Bay is an idyllic spot to head to with bae. The walls, floors and ceilings are lined with flowers, providing a flower field-experience on steroids.

Breathing new life into the club scene is Marquee, a spoil-market nightclub in Marina Bay Sands to party away at. Almost like an upscale carnival, the club carries novel facilities, including a 3-storey slide and an epic Ferries wheel.

Regardless of whether you’ve been to Jewel Changi or not, there’s always lots to explore in this humongous airport mall filled with stores, food outlets, and attractions. One of the first Singapore attractions that visitors see when they touch down, it’s also packed with activities that will enthral locals.
After you’ve ticked off the must-dos of trying Shake Shack and exploring the only Pokemon Centre outside Japan, head up to their Canopy Park filled with Singapore attractions from suspended nets to vertical-drop slides. Beyond that, there are also photogenic spots, a basement filled with food stores, and cinema.

After undergoing a 3-month long renovation process, Haw Par Villa has been reopened with a face-lift. It has now opened up its premises as an event venue with the likes of Halloween festivals, art markets and weddings already being held there. If you like things creepy, sign up for one of their new Journey To Hell Twilight Tours that brings you around the park at night.
