Changi Airport & Jewel SG60 celebrations
National Day is almost here, and we can already feel the buzz all around. Our Little Red Dot is hitting a big milestone – SG60 – so of course it’s a big deal. And where better to join the party than Changi Airport and Jewel?
This year, they’ve lined up plenty of fun activities you won’t want to miss – because only in Singapore do we actually travel to the airport just to hang out.

Local-inspired displays for photo ops

No SG60 celebration is complete without some photo-worthy horticultural displays. Over at Changi Airport, there’ll be floral showcases from 21st July 2025 that pay tribute to both nature and our national identity.
Catch a 270 sqm garden inspired by Singapore’s national flower, the Vanda Miss Joaquim, at Terminal 3. You’ll also find a 6-metre floral Merlion made using 60 different types of plants, standing tall beside the Wonderfall in Terminal 2. Cheeky floral displays featuring local snacks like curry puffs and iced gem biscuits will bring a fun, distinctly Singaporean twist to your stroll as well.
And from 1st to 31st August 2025, over 1,200 orchids will turn the Shiseido Forest Valley in Jewel into a sea of red and white blooms – colours of the Singapore flag. Look out for the special Dendrobium Jewel Changi Airport orchid hybrid, created just for Jewel’s 5th anniversary.

Special light & music showcase at Jewel’s Rain Vortex

Ask any Singaporean what the most iconic NDP song is, and Home by Kit Chan will probably be the top pick. We’ve all sung it in school, during National Day celebrations, and some of us still get a little emotional when that first line hits.
From 2nd to 31st August 2025, relive those feels at Jewel’s Rain Vortex, where the nightly Light & Music Showcase will feature a special SG60 edition set to Home. It’ll be accompanied by watercolour-style projections of iconic Singaporean landmarks.
Catch the showcase at these times to remind yourself why there’s no place you’d rather be than home:
- 8pm and 9pm from Monday to Thursday
- 8pm, 9pm, and 10pm from Friday to Sunday, eve of public holidays, and public holidays
