Do you know a friend or partner who somehow manages to cut off your head, blur every shot, and still say, “Eh, not bad what”? Even after you’ve spammed them with IG Reels on angles and composition, they just refuse to or simply cannot improve. For once, their terrible photography skills might finally be useful.
Icelandair is on the hunt for the world’s worst photographer for its Really Bad Photographer campaign, where they’ll be flying 1 lucky winner on a fully paid trip to Iceland. The only catch is that the bad photos won’t just stay in their camera roll anymore – the whole world might get to see them.

This cheeky campaign by Icelandair is here to prove one thing: Iceland is so beautiful, even the most hopeless photographer can still take decent shots.
So if you have a friend or BF who consistently fumbles your pics, this is your chance for revenge. Send this their way and see if they’re game to put their lack of skills to the test.
Honestly, you don’t need much at all. Icelandair is looking for someone who:
Apart from those very basic requirements, you just need to be someone who’s regularly disappointed scrolling through your own camera roll, and then genuinely shocked when a photo turns out not bad. And most importantly, you have to be ready for your distinctive photography style to potentially go international.

Jokes aside, the campaign is only open to applicants:

If you somehow manage to earn the questionable title of one of the world’s worst photographers, the rewards are actually pretty insane.
The selected participant will enjoy an all-expenses-paid, roughly 10-day trip to Iceland with flights, accommodation, and transport all taken care of. You’ll even be paid USD50,000 (~S$63,825.75)! So yes, you’re getting money to travel, take photos, and document your experience, although the whole trip is already fully covered.

All you have to do is answer 6 questions, then upload an optional 60-second video sharing your best or most painful photo fails to convince Icelandair you deserve to win this.
After that, you’ll just need to confirm that you have a valid passport and are eligible to travel to Iceland, the UK, and the USA. Then fill in your name, year of birth, email address, gender, and country of residence.
You have until 30th April 2026 to send in your application.
We know it all sounds too good to be true, but Icelandair has confirmed that it’s legit. Over on their Instagram comments, people have already started nominating their husbands, themselves, friends, and even their mums.
So don’t take too long to decide. Either step up and volunteer as tribute or lovingly sabo that one person in your life who’s famously bad at taking photos.
